We use a lot of these at our concert house so we know which are good and which are just meh. These are definitely not what I would call heavy duty, they are more in the light duty category. Only fairly sturdy is what I consider them, they definitely weigh less too so you may have to weigh them down with extra rings or sand bags for longer runs. They do look great and are an excellent value, and if you just need them for light crowd control, I would absolutely say they are 5-stars. Especially considering this pack of 6 costs almost as much as a single actual heavy duty stanchion.

We needed stanchions fast for an event and settled on these after researching a few products and shipping times. We were hopeful that "heavy duty" meant heavy duty. Some of them arrived a little scraped up and others had some small debts. I would not describe the metal or the finish as "heavy duty". They do look nice and they come with plastic that can be filled with sand to help weight he bases down. But that's another point of disappointment. We filled them to the brim with sand to help weigh them down and despite not even using the full reach of the claimed 9.5', the stanchions were pulling each other down at worst or making each other lean at best. Our solution was to gently ease the tension enough that they'd stay mostly upright, but if we had a bigger crowd, I imagine they'd have bumped these and the problem would have started again. All in all, we would not purchase again and we're left with a bunch of stanchions that sort of work.

I got these to use in various ways. We use for school events, dances, food truck lines, etc. They are fairly easy to transport. Sturdy and don't turn over easily. Would recommend. Good value for the money.

The stainless steel construction feels solid and durable, and once we filled the bases with sand as recommended, they were very stable outdoors. The black finish looks clean and professional, and the included 8.5 x 11 sign holder is great for posting menus, pricing, or directions. Overall, these stanchions make crowd control much smoother and help keep things orderly during busy events. They’ve held up well so far and are a great investment for schools, events, and any high-traffic situation. Highly recommend!

At 9.8 ft, the belt length is generous and covers larger areas with fewer posts. The mechanism feels durable, and the belt fabric is thick enough for long-term use. The included sign holder is a nice bonus. It fits standard signage and gives you a clear place to display “Line Starts Here,” event directions, or business notices. Setup is quick—just screw the posts into the base—and everything feels well-made once assembled.

They are not too sturdy. They serve their purpose but they need to be tightened often and the tops come off easily and the extended barriers dont stay in the slots. If this is being used in a non-high traffic area/situation or for a general purpose it would be perfect. If not, get something metal, more sturdy and durable for your situation.

These arrived in a box that was kindof beat up. The amazon box looked fine, but the product box inside it was in pretty rough shape, probably due to the package weight and the flimsy cardboard they used. One of the bases arrived dented a bit, but it's not all that noticeable. You'll need to pick up a bag of sand to fill the bases to give them some extra weight. The bases are pretty light, and the retractable straps are strong enough to tip the stanchions if you don't add dirt or sand to the bases. There's no instructions, but overall they are fairly straightforward and easy to assemble. The straps are nice and long and I haven't had any issues extending or retracting them. There's a lot of different configurations possible. These are working perfect for me, though not exactly for their intended use. I got them to help train my teenagers on how to park cars in parking spaces and parallel park without putting actual cars at risk. Instead of using the retractable straps I'm just running some high visibility constriction tape between the stanchions, and it's working great. They can easily visualize the boundaries I set and get used to what angles they need to keep to avoid hitting the simulated adjacent 'vehicles'.
