Connects extremely easy via the app. Went offline once, had to restart internet and no trouble sense. Best priced, reliable water leak detector on the market. Have multiple xsense items and they all work great together. Long battery life and easy to move (no mounting required). Place on ground near any water source that may leak. No complaints at all!

So this was useless. It couldn’t complete the wifi test despite a strong signal. Placed a signal booster literally 2’ away and it completed the wifi test but never sent alerts via the app. We dribbled water on the floor to test it. It audibly alerted perfectly but no phone alerts. Ever. In less than 12 hours from being opened and installed, it started the low battery chirp (battery was full health according to the app opening). Again, no phone alert despite it being set to alert for low battery as weak as water detection. Seriously useless.

I bought two of these. I’ve had a problem with them sporadically going offline. I just checked and they are both offline. I have other devices in the same area (fire sticks and CO detectors) that don’t go offline. I don’t recommend.

I like the idea of this leak detector! I've experienced an under-sink leak before when a pipe disconnected and it lead to water damage to our cabinets and needing to run dehumidifiers, some damage to anything that wasn't in a plastic container. It can be a tough spot to keep track of since you don't often check for leaks so I was very interested in this product. The price point of this leak detector is really affordable for peace of mind, so it's an option to purchase multiple for various sinks or near the water heater, and it's nice that there's a 3-pack for bulk purchasing, or an individual so you can order the exact number you'd need. I've heard of x-sense for their smart smoke alarms but hadn't tried them, so I had to download the app and go through the setup process for the leak detector. It was easy to do except for the wi-fi connection test. My app never progressed past that when I initially tried to set it up. My wi-fi can be spotty so I accepted that I might not be able to fully utilize the app but trust that the alarm would still sound if it came in contact with water so I left it in place. I finally tried testing it again after a few months with an updated and app and the wi-fi check did work this time so I'm glad I can finally see that it's connected and check on the status whenever I want. The app is easy to use and see at a glance the status of my alarm. It's been several months since I placed mine and the battery still shows as full in the app, along with the wi-fi signal. It would be nice if the app had an option to remotely test the device, but it does link to the user manual which shows how to do this manually so that's convenient at least. With this, I'm feeling better about the idea of purchasing a more expensive item like the X-Sense smoke alarms for access to see the status of my home even when I'm out or traveling.

Detects water fine for the first month and then the battery goes dead. I have 3 of these and only one is working still with a full battery. They only last a month or so and I spent a lot of money on the batteries.

Took a bit to synchronize with wifi.

The WiFi signal test does not work for me. I followed all the instructions but the screen never move to the next step although the blinking green light already turned off. My router is just 10 feet away. Also I just purchased it 7 days ago, the battery is only showing 2 bars.

Un des pires achats. Perd très souvent la connexion WIFI et changé la batterie 3 fois en 2 semaines

I had high hopes but it stopped when time came to link with my wi-fi. It requires 2g to sink but the item i received didn't want to sink. I kept it as an alarm only since Amazon policies does not cover return on small electronics. But by the end of the day it started to beep twice every 10secs. I removed the battery and the next , i tried again... same result. The recycling bine was more than happy to gobble it up.

It does not work on a 5G network. In this day and age, that's pretty disappointing..
