If there's anything I can say that can convince you to purchase a Thetis, it might be that I own 4 Thetis security keys, two of which are this model, the Thetis Pro-C. Needless to say, I recommend them. For the average consumer looking to beef up their security, there's fundamentally nothing different between these and the better known Yubikeys. Both use FIDO2, which is a well understood and documented protocol for security.But let's balance out the good with the bad: the software is pretty clunky and lackluster. It does what it needs to, but there's grammatical mistakes that make it clear English is not the developer's main language. There's also missing features such as PIV / SmartCard capabilities. The panel for PIV and certificates is there in the software, but it's grayed out.Thetis devices work great for multi-factor authentication (MFA) / "things that you have" (versus things that you know). I have my Thetis setup for Google, Apple, Microsoft, and a few other sites. They work perfectly fine on macOS as well as Windows.I like the design of these keys, the outer shell that protects the USB-C plug is made out of metal, which is much more durable than the plastic Yubikeys. I find it funny these are less expensive, but much more durable overall.Finally, you'll want to buy two of these security keys, one acting as a backup. You can very easily get locked out of your account if you use your security key. Apple requires two security keys for this very reason.

I've built up a number of Thetis security keys at this point in various form factors. They have all worked great and this one is no exception. It was quick to set up with my password manager and worked right away. Try a login and tap the button and I'm in. Nothing particular that sets it apart from others there but it does work. Physically it is very well made. While the actual key body is plastic it pivots into a metal protector that would easily survive getting run over by a truck. The only weak point may be the button but again with the case it's going to be hard to press it too far in. I'll mention that while not nearly as small as their nano line the advantage here is the USB-C plug has an extension such that you can plug it into a phone with the case on. Mine is easier to get off but if you're using this key a lot I can see this one being a big plus. I'll also mention that while this has a similar form factor to the USB-A/C combo key, because this only has one end it can be fully protected in the case and therefore ends up being smaller as well. This could very well be my favorite of all of the Thetis devices but the good news is they are all well made products.

Works well with all of my important apps without issue. The only gripe from these old crippled hands is some fidgeting to swing it open. Other than that the fingerprint works like a charm, as do the rest of the features.

This is a good security key from Thetis. This Pro-C Plus FIDO2 key is a minor revision where the key has more protection against physical and side-channel attacks and has been L2 Certified by an accredited security lab. I've been moving more of my important online accounts away from 2FA security based on text message codes to hardware key security, like these keys from Thetis. I like that this key has an outside party L2 certification now. This Thetis key is compatible with my password manager, bit warden, as well as cell phone compatible via NFC (or just a phone's USB C connection). I did find this key works with a USB C to USB A adapter too, if necessary for compatibility with USB A ports.This Thetis Pro-C PLUS FIDO2 (L2) key has a pivoting metal (aluminum perhaps) cover to help protect the USB C connection and provide minor NFC shielding. The cover seems pretty securely attached, which is good because that's where there's a loop to attach it to a key ring. There's also a physical button integrated into the axle that is pressed as part of active use of the security hardware.There is a downloadable Thetis Manager software that I ran on my Windows computer. I did find it a little confusing how it asks you to create a PIN for the FIDO key area but only told you it must be at least 6 digits after rejecting a shorter PIN.This key is a bit on the larger side but that also helps it not get lost. I do have another Thetis key already and, for peace of mind, I do make sure my most important accounts are paired with multiple security keys in case one gets lost or damaged. It's easy to keep a backup in my desk drawer at home, especially since there's no battery involved with this security key.

The Thetis Pro-C FIDO2 (L2) Security Key has become my goto physical passkey. With its rigid metal build quality, FIDO2 security (dont buy a passkey without this), ease of use, portability due to its foldable design and keyring hold, it makes for a very solid passkey.I have since paired mine to my google, ebay, amazon, and microsoft account successfully after navigating to their respective passkey pages (amazon and ebay prompted me, google and MS required me to search for it). Its very easy to use being insert to the PC or phone, add the passkey (it will ask you to set a pin on it), then tap the button. After that you are setup.My one con that im on the fence about is the app. I dont really understand it yet. I wish it had more of an in-app guided tutorial or more management options. Maybe its best being barebones as a means of security though. Overall as an offline physical passkey it rules though as i no longer have to type my passwords in.Can reccomend.

My use case was simple. I wanted a passkey that would plug into my 2017 Macbook Pro that runs Fedora linux so that I could just click a button to authenticate as root when I need to (macbook fingerprint reader doesn't work in linux). So I plugged this in and it was immediately recognized. No need to install anything or fiddle with any settings. So as long as I have this device I don't have to enter password when using sudo, I just click the button. The key itself seem to be nicely made so I think it will last a long time. Also, the button lights up with a blinking light when the button needs to be pressed so it's really easy to use. It's very reasonably priced compared to other similar devices so, for the money, it's hard to beat.

Got the Thetis key and found my laptop only has one USB-C port, which I use for a USB hub. Learning to use the product at first was a little confusing as the instructions did not match what I was seeing in Windows. Eventually figured it out and it works great.

In spite of the L2 attestation promises of this device, it is not true. For Microsoft entra domain logins, common in the workplace, no Thetis product is approved now. So I have this thing and had to buy another brand to use it for multifactor login.

He visto varias opiniones, pero estaba en dudas entre comprar este y el de yubico, al final me decidí por este por el precio y la verdad que no me arrepiento, funciona con todas mis cuentas y también el otp, me da mas seguridad con el doble factor que la típica aplicación en el movil. Funciona muy bien el nfc en el movil y por usb-c. La aplicación es verdad que no es la mejor, pero sirve para hacer todas las funciones.

Als bekennender Passwort-Muffel und Fan von hardwarebasierter Sicherheit durfte mal wieder ein neuer FIDO2-Stick in meine Sammlung einziehen. Und was soll ich sagen? In Sachen Kernkompetenz brennt hier absolut nichts an. Der Stick wird von allen gängigen Webseiten auf Anhieb erkannt, und das Erstellen von Passkeys läuft absolut reibungslos und geschmeidig ab. Neben FIDO2 schluckt das gute Stück auch problemlos klassische TOTP-Zwei-Faktor-Codes. Er tut also genau das, was er soll, und liefert im Alltag fehlerfrei ab.Der Stick kommt als praktisches USB-C-Modell um die Ecke und bringt direkt auch NFC mit. Gerade für den Einsatz am Smartphone ist das drahtlose Gegenhalten ein absoluter Segen und extrem komfortabel. Beim Gehäuse-Design scheiden sich vermutlich die Geister. Der Stick steckt in einem schwenkbaren Metallbügel, der ihn im Alltag wie ein Schutzschild vor Kratzern bewahrt. Zum Einstecken klappt man ihn einfach heraus. Durch diese Konstruktion trägt das Teil am Schlüsselbund natürlich ein ganz kleines bisschen dicker auf, als es eigentlich müsste, aber dafür ist er eben auch sicher verpackt. Clever gelöst ist der Bestätigungs-Button inklusive Status-LED, der direkt im Gelenk des Bügels sitzt.Ein paar Software-Eigenheiten im Alltag bringt das Teil aber mit.Am PC führt kein Weg am „Thetis Key Manager“ vorbei. Das Tool ist optisch eher Marke „Zweckmäßig“, tut aber, was es soll. Ein bisschen schräg ist allerdings, dass das Programm zwingend Administratorrechte unter Windows verlangt, sobald man an die Passkeys ran möchte. Wer am Firmen-Laptop ohne Admin-Rechte unterwegs ist, schaut hier erst mal in die Röhre. Auch bei den TOTPs gibt es eine kleine Einschränkung. Einmal angelegt, lassen sich die Einträge im Key Manager nicht mehr nachträglich bearbeiten (z.B. um den Namen zu korrigieren). Da hilft dann nur Löschen und Neuaufladen. Am Smartphone läuft das Ganze über eine eigene App, die vom Funktionsumfang her ähnlich gestrickt ist.Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis muss man hier mal ganz deutlich erwähnen! Im Vergleich zu den Platzhirschen auf dem Markt bekommt man hier die volle Ladung Sicherheit für einen absoluten Bruchteil des Geldes, ohne dass man bei der reinen Funktion irgendwelche Abstriche machen müsste.Mein Fazit:Ein rundum solider, zuverlässiger Sicherheits-Stick, der sich vor der namhaften und oft deutlich teureren Konkurrenz absolut nicht verstecken muss. Wer mit den kleinen Software-Schrulligkeiten leben kann und einen günstigen, robusten Begleiter für seine Passkeys sucht, kann hier bedenkenlos zuschlagen. Von mir daher an dieser Stelle verdiente 5 Sterne und eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Bisogna innanzitutto ricordare che la versione che state vedendo è la pro-c, cioè dotata solo di porta type-c e quindi principalmente consigliata per dispositivi mobile e\o dotati della suddetta porta. Esiste anche la versione con la usb A e, meglio ancora, quella che le ha entrambe. La versione PRO.Tuttavia è proprio con i dispositivi mobile (iphone e android) che rende meglio, perché proprio con questi è assicurata la piena compatibilità del sistema NFC. Quindi se avete un pc con NFC e pensate di utilizzarla, rifletteteci. L'ho usata con entrambi i sistemi e, finora, nessun problema.Restando in tema compatibilità, mi è piaciuto che lo fosse con i principali gestori di password (1Password, Dashlane Premium, Keeper, LastPass Premium) e, avendoli provati tutti, assicuro il funzionamento.Malgrado per certi versi preferisca la Yubikey, che ha una piattaforma di autenticazione più completa. Se vi serve solo passkey/2FA base, la Thetis è perfetta. Inoltre, rispetto la yubikey apprezzo tantissimo l'involucro metallico rotante che, nel paragone costi/benefici a favore della Thetis, me la fa percepire più resistente.Altra cosa che ho apprezzato di più è il processo di configurazione iniziale. Quello di Thetis mi è sempre sembrato, anche nei modelli passati, più semplice della Yubikey e addirittura di Google Titan.In definitiva, consigliata.

C'est ultra sécurisé car il faut posséder physiquement l'objet pour se connecter, ce qui bloque le piratage à distance. Pour faire simple, le site web possède une clé publique (comme une serrure de boîte aux lettres ouverte) et votre clé matérielle garde une clé privée secrète. Le site envoie un signal que seule votre clé physique peut déverrouiller localement, validant votre identité sans qu'aucun mot de passe ne voyage sur le réseau.🛠 Le truc qui rassureQuand on insère la prise USB-C, on sent un petit clic bien ferme qui confirme que la clé est bien connectée. Le capot rotatif en métal est rigide et protège le connecteur dans ma poche.
