I ordered some thread and this particular thread I did not realize came with the spool covers as part of a package or should I say bundle. After I realized That the spool covers were in the package – I sort of shrugged and said well I guess I’ll try them. The pricing was such that they didn’t work or I didn’t like them no harm no foul- I was sure I could find another use for them. I have to say to my delight and surprise – these things are amazing. I’ve been sewing for more than 50 years. Spools of thread in the sewing basket always been a headache as they come unraveled and make big knots and a lot of thread gets wasted and cut away. When all you wanna do is just pick up a spool do some mending use on the sewing machine to now longer an annoyance. These little gizmos are easy to use. They wrap around a spool thread easily. And they keep the spools tidy. So I have no more rats nest of thread in my sewing basket. And I am so pleased. In fact, I like them so much I sent A package to a friend who’s been sewing for as long as I have – and she was just thrilled to discover they worked so well. She gave me a call when they arrived with her, thanks and absolute joy, and having a problem solved that she, like me, had lived with for so many decades. The colors are fun. It seems like these little guys will last a lifetime – They are made out of silicone and that means they’re very durable. One of my granddaughters will end up being delighted with them as I am, after I am gone. I have already discovered from my clumsiness. They are washable. I like the washability factor because I don’t like when things get grubby overtime – as most things will. I truly do not know how I lived without these little spool covers all these years. They have uncluttered my thread bin and my sewing basket. I only bought the package of 65. Perhaps I should’ve brought the package of 100. I have no idea at all if they will get brittle overtime. Being silicone I tend to think they won’t – especially since they won’t be spending time in a dishwasher or around heat. They come in cute colors – nice and bright - neon bright. And they are soft to the touch and easy to use. If you sew- You will likely find these to be a very good investment. Definitely much better than sticking a pin in a spool to hold the thread and later getting stuck as you go rummaging through your basket. Great product; I highly recommend it. Another big thing-,they do NOT stink they way some things that are made in China can smell. That makes me happy.

It does what I want , but not super eeasy to pu on

Very handy for me in my embroidery work. I wrap around the edge of the hoop to turn under and hold excess fabric, so as to keep my thread from catching fabric that overhangs the hoop. These come in very handy, placing them at equal intervals around the hoop.

After years of trying to find the slit to slide the thread through to prevent a spool of tread from unraveling I found these easy fixes. Just pop one around the spool and no more risk of dropping and having thread unwound all over.

I love these little thread huggers. Keeps thread neat and not tangled.

Très pratique pour ranger ses bobines de fil sans que le fil se déroule, s’adapte aux bobines jusque 500m mais trop petit pour les bobines de 1000 mètres. Je recommande Très résistant dans le temps.
