Amazon Essentials Women's Full-Zip Polar Fleece Jacket - Discontinued Colors

This is the 2nd jacket in this product that I purchased. The mid-weight fabric is soft but has body. The jacket has princess seaming. The fit is true to size, but size will vary with use. I wear these jackets as my main shirt in winter, sometimes with a light t-shirt underneath. My first jacket was a small and it fit perfectly. I did feel that if I wore something a bit thicker underneath it might fit more snugly than I like. My 2nd jacket was a medium and gives me more room without being too loose. I would like to purchase more if they become available and will likely order a medium. The M sleeves are slightly longer, but are elasticized and covered with a binding (same binding around the hem) so it is easy to turn them under, and they stay in place. I have washed each of the jackets once, and they were fine. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality. For reference I am 5’5 and 126 pounds. Update: I have now purchased 7 of these jackets and am just as pleased. The last 3 I purchased were the plaids. The plaids all match at the seams and the zipper. The material is soft.

It was getting suddenly chilly here and I saw this special. At first I thought, no, Amazon would not be a good supplier for a polar fleece jacket. But I realized they have a free return, so I decided to take a chance. I was totally surprised when I got the jacket. Its very soft, has great slimming seams, has nice zippers on the jacket and pockets, the jacket has two hidden large pockets inside that hold a large iphone and gloves easily. The other surprise was that the zipper, the bottom hem and the sleeves are all finished with matching color seam tape, this is not noticeable to the jacket design, but the great thing is this quality finish is usually only found on much more expensive name brand fleeces. These tape-finished seams prevent the zipper from getting caught on any extra fabric. I really love that extra quality since I find it frustrating to get zippers stuck. I compared it to my LL Bean fleece jacket. This Amazon fleece has about half the thickness and is much less bulky. Its also much softer than my Bean jacket. When I just need a light fleece or a layer under my coat, I will be choosing this Amazon fleece. If I want extra warmth, I’ll use the heavier Bean version. The first Amazon jacket I got was light blue, its a medium blue color that looks great w jeans. I like this jacket so much that I’m ordering it in another color. I often read all the reviews for products, so I’m hoping this review is helpful. This is a really useful jacket and has great style too! I am size 14-16 and ordered XL. Its perfect over a long sleeve tshirt, and very flattering fit. Love love the inside pockets!

I got this as a prime day deal and I would buy another at full price. I’m 5’9”, had a baby a month ago and weigh 175– I bought a large. If I was a little further out from postpartum, I could get away with a medium, if I didn’t plan on layering much underneath. The large fits me loose but not baggy, so extremely comfortable for chasing a 3 year old and taking care of a newborn. I love that the pockets zip closed. It’s perfect for PNW early fall, but obviously you would need more layers in winter. The color was as advertised, it was soft, and flattering. I felt put together enough to go out in public wearing it with jeans and a t shirt. I’ve washed it twice so far on cold, and let it hang dry. It’s thinner than my Eddie Bauer fleece, but so far has lasted a little better— my Eddie Bauer one stretched out in the wash and is now extremely unflattering. It’s a great basic light fleece.

I took this jacket on a 12 day camping/hiking trip to Utah and it was my go-to every day. What a workhorse layer! It helped keep me comfortable and warm on cool mornings and by the campfire each night. If I wasn't wearing it, it easily stashed in my backpack for overnighters and in my daypack for hikes. One day we had 20MPH gusts of wind on an otherwise mild temp day. It was all I needed. I've purchased many different brands of lightweight fleece jackets over the years, so I was a bit skeptical about buying an "Amazon Basic" (I'd never purchased this line before). I can honestly say that this is the BEST zip up fleece jacket that I've ever worn. And the LEAST EXPENSIVE! The style is slimmer than other big brands, so you can easily wear it as a layer underneath a heavier weight jacket. Princess seams are flattering - no boxy or bulky look here! From the trail to the diner to the museum - helps you look tidy and presentable, even if you've been playing in the dirt all day. Zip up pockets are on the seams and deep. (I'm all about FUNCTIONAL pockets in women's clothing!) Sturdy zippers. I hope more colors are back in stock soon. I'm buying more. (Note: Navy color has a purplish hue. I'd prefer a true navy blue.) I'm 5'4", 120 lbs, average build and I'm wearing a X-Small. I was able to comfortably wear a slim fit t-shirt and a thin, button-down shirt underneath the fleece jacket.

I ordered a L in this and it fits great with a little wiggle room for clothing underneath. For the record I’m 5’5”; about 170 and pretty large in the chest, 30” waist. Much like the Columbia fleeces, it has those handy inside pockets in addition to the outside zippered ones. The fit isn’t super tapered or form fitting like some women’s jackets are. So if you’re looking for something to hug curves this isn’t cut that way. Not to say it’s frumpy or baggy, not at all. It just doesn’t have that tailored cut. It’s fairly straight but still looks cute on. Keeps me plenty warm, and has held up well to washing. I don’t generally put these in the dryer because I find it changes the texture of the fleece but you can if you want to. This jacket isn’t anything super techy or special but it’s a great basic fleece jacket that will get the job done for a great price and is of similar design to high end fleeces.

I am very please with this fleece jacket. For reference, I am 5'1" and 110 lbs. I ordered an XS. I am also a 32DD and this jacket was a good fit, was not tight across the chest, and has a nice feminine shape to it. I wear it with a long sleeve t-shirt underneath, as I planned, and it is comfortable. I don't think a heavier sweater under it would be as comfortable unless I got the next size up (but I don't need that). The fleece is not thin and is of a good weight. I got the darker gray one and the color is just as expected. The zippers are good quality and I also like the inside narrow pockets (in addition to the outside ones) that are good for carrying a cell phone. The sleeves are a little long for me, but that is not a problem since all long sleeve garments' sleeves are always too long for me. The fit of the sleeve is not too wide or narrow at the wrist, so they stay in place comfortably for me. All in all, I am very pleased, especially as it is often difficult to find things that fit me well. I can definitely recommend this jacket.

Nice quality. Very soft. Fits really well and is very warm. Love the zipper pockets and the inside pockets! But buyers beware…the color is not as advertised per the picture. I thought I was buying a light ice blue jacket like the photo. Instead, what I received was a Caribbean Aqua blue. Pretty color so I kept it. But it was brighter than I wanted and expected. So I am not entirely happy with this purchase because of that. And…my friend purchased the yellow one thinking it would be a soft buttery yellow like the photo. Instead, what she received was a bright sunny yellow jacket. Not what she was hoping for nor expecting. I think she’s keeping hers because it too is a pretty color, but what she received was NOT the color that was advertised. So there is a disconnect between the photos on the Amazon page and what is actually being made and sent to the customer. Amazon is a big enough company that they should be monitoring this more closely and updating their photos when manufacturers change the colors. No matter how slight the change!

I was looking for an inexpensive full-zip fleece to layer with a long sleeve shirt and waterproof shell while traveling from the midwest to Florida in winter. Amazon recommended a medium. I read a ton of reviews here, decided on large, and it’s perfect - fits like a medium without being tight. The fleece weight, warmth, and fit is similar to my comfy old Columbia Benton Springs fleece but not as fluffy. The Amazon size large is almost the same as the Columbia medium but the Amazon one has a slightly fitted waist and is about 1” longer. The Amazon fabric is soft and perfect for layering. The pockets and zippers are unexpectedly terrific! It arrived odor free but I always wash new things before wearing so I washed it in cold and hung to dry with no issues. Can’t wait to use it traveling!

I bought two of these in different colours. They’re perfect for days where it starts out chilly and warms up to 15-16C. There are three zippers: one going all the way up the front, and one for each pocket. The zippers on the pockets fasten by zipping them upward which means that things won’t fall out of the pockets if they’re not 100% closed. This feature is something I actively look for in jackets because I’ve lost too many items because of not completely closing a zipper. I’ve washed each of these three times so far and hung them outside to dry. Both have held up well - no loose threads, no pilling, no fading or discolouration. The colours that appear online are accurate. I normally wear a large or xl, depending on how tight the sleeves appear. With these, I ordered xxl because I wanted some extra room underneath to layer. I can easily wear a long sleeve tshirt underneath the xxl but nothing bulkier - so they run a bit small, so size up if you’re unsure.

Medium size is more like a Small so very snug and not roomy. Quality is fine although lightweight. The colour Aqua is great and good for Spring.

I like this style of jacket because I'm tired of hoodies. I don't need a hood on everything. It's just a simple, classic fleece jacket you can wear anywhere. It's medium weight and has zippered pockets which is essential for me. I'm 5'7 tall, 105 lbs, got the Medium. It's semi-fitted on me. If you want it tight to the body get the Small. It would be too constricting for me. It's soft and comfy. I don't have any issues with it. I can't say how it would fit on other body types. I'd recommend it.
