Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps Vol. 7: Darkstars Rising

I am incredibly disappointed that this is Venditti's last work on the Hal Jordan run. This has been a very solid run full of emotion, meaning, friendship and what it means to be a hero. This volume is a phenominal way to end things and has been an incredible read. I highly recommend this volume as well as the entire rebirth run. The art of Ethan Van Sciver and Rafa Sandoval are very captivating and further draw you in to the story. Looking forward to Venditti's run on Hawkman, next.

Rivals the Sinestro wars. Great story lines and terrific art

A good graphic novel with the best green lantern, Hal Jordan.

This volume is the conclusion of a larger story arc: the resurrection and redemption of the Green Lantern Corps, focusing on the first four Earth GLs. It shares with its predecessors many of the same flaws and strengths: mediocre dialogue and story telling, weak characterization, coupled with beautiful art and BOOM BOOM space combat on an epic scale. That said, the weaknesses of the volume are a little less weak this time around and the strengths are just as strong, making this outing a little better than the average for the series. It won't sell people who don't already love the Green Lanterns, but for the rest of us, it is as fun as a Saturday afternoon movie.

What a fun ride this series was. Good modern day Green Lantern book. Can't wait for them to finally show up on the big screen in a proper way. Go Green Lanterns!

As an avid comic book fan and collector, I was a bit bummed when I received this one. I went over the cover of the book and found that there were at least three large creases conversing toward the center. It was as if this was a throwaway copy of the trade paper back left in storage. The pages inside were safe, new, and clean compared to the presentation of the cover. I don't want any money back or to return it, but just a suggestion that brand new products should be treated as such.

First of all this is a pretty hefty package with a lot of content for the price. While its not quite on par with the last few issues of Geoff Johns run (But what is honestly?) it still ties together the rest of the run fairly well. With this being the last time we will see some of these characters for the forseeable future (with Grant Morrison's run in full swing) there's a very nice hopeful, optimistic, and introspective tone to the last three issues specifically addresses. (that ultimately Morrison ignores but that's besides the point). I'm going to level with you, you've been reading the book this long, it ends well, you might as well pick up this one too

This graphic novel is illustrated well. It featured a lot of action but at times was a lot to take in.
