Good consistent product
Decent Shiitake Mushrooms. Good flavour. A little small perhaps, but quality is good. Useful air-tight tub! I simply soak for 10 mins in very hot water and then add to the dish. Some people seem to be put off by the tough texture - this is pretty much how they are meant to be! I think they should have a little bit to them. Not the cheapest but a decent product. Recommended.

Good value and once dried they add a really good pop of flavour. Been using them in bacon baguettes, very nice. Will buy more.

Acquired taste.
Smell like sweaty socks. Need to soak them before use, and use the juicey mushroom water for risotto. Although we tried them, not our taste. Expensive one off purchase. Live and learn.

Strong taste - rubbery texture
Not for me… didn’t enjoy the texture and taste even after the recommended steeping time and cooking instructions. Perhaps enjoyed by others but won’t be buying again.

Great tasting and easy to use
They are exactly as expected. They plump up nicely after soaking in warm water for a half hour. Shiitake mushrooms that have been dried have a stronger odor than fresh ones but I combatted that by draining the initial water off, not using it in the recipe, then rinsing with cold water followed by gently blotting the excess water out. These are excellent for storing at your cottage, in your RV and taking camping/hiking. I recommend them for fans of shiitake mushrooms.
