How big is the opening?

I don’t know but my 5 year old grandson has no trouble navigating it.

Can you put it in the washer?

I would not try it. It had spring like coils that hold it open. I am not expert but I owed one.

Any flame retardants used on fabric?

I’m not sure. The sellers are very responsive though if you contact them.

This states that it is a two pack (12 total feet), but some are saying it's only six feet. Are there two tunnels or only one? Thanks!

When I bought this 2 years ago, they didn't offer a 2-pack. It was just one 6-foot tunnel. That being said, I am a full grown adult and I fit in the tunnel with no problem. My 2 year old niece loved it so much that I bought another for my friends little girl. Most importantly though, they BOTH still play with their tunnels, and after 2 years, they are still in good condition.
