can record on lg tuner but cannot go back to sony tele to view other programs

Good afternoon.Yes you can record on the LG unit leaving the option of viewing a copied recording on the Hdd watching a Dvd or alternatively switch back your extension setting to view your Sony television.

does it record from hdmi source

i haven't try. this videorecorder is not copatible with italian tv system and needs a decoder. i made a mistake buying it.

Will it do auto chapters?

I would not have an LG G product in the house don't buy one they are rubbish

How do you put individual programmes on one disc one episode at a time

I assume that these are programmes that you have recorded to the HDD that you want to transfer to a DVD disc. In MENU/LIST move to each programme in turn. Then press OK and a menu will appear at the left. Select DUBBING and another menu will appear in a window. Move UP to change the settings such as XP/SP/LP etc. or FAST COPY. when selected move back down and OK the copy to your DVD. NOTE: depending on the quality of the original HDD recording FAST copy may sometimes give a poor result. But any other setting takes as long as the length of the programme.
