So far so good - update
I recently purchased this battery for my aging 600 series Roomba and so far it has worked like a dream. Many of the negative reviews complained about the install and how the battery life didn't last. I've only been using it for about a week so I have to reserve judgement on the longevity but the install was super easy and there are no rattles. Best part is that the battery came charged and I sent the robot around the living room for almost an hour and the only reason it stopped is because it announced that it had completed the job. I'm going to make sure to use it more often and to unplug it when not in regular use to save battery life. However, for the price I do recommend using this item in order to save on not purchasing an official replacement battery or a new Roomba itself. Update for this product: I purchased this last year and at the end of the summer of 2020 my vacuum started having issues with not holding a charge. It would run for 15 to 20 minutes and then quit. I contacted the company via email and explained the situation. They were very kind and said that it was out of warranty but would provide a 10% off coupon for my next order. Considering how cheap this battery is compared to the official iRobot product I figured is still better than buying another cleaner. During the time that of my correspondence I was asked to take a picture of the battery to send to them. My wife had cleaned the vacuum and tried other tricks to try and get it to work but she hadn't opened up the battery compartment. I removed the battery and discovered debris had built up to the point that it was blocking the battery terminals. I cleaned the area and placed it back on the base to charge. While I waited for a response from the manufacture, I continued to use the cleaner and it went past the 20 minute mark. Actually it went for an hour and returned to the dock on its own energy. It has been working fine since I cleaned it and I think it is the crud that I cleaned out of it that allowed the battery to get a good charge. For those that have the same problem please try cleaning it out and if it still doesn't work then contact the manufacture and see if they can help.

Lasts a really long time if conditioned properly
I want to emphasize the need to condition this battery properly when you use it for the first few times. You must run the battery down until it is completely dead, fully charge it, and run it down again. Repeat one more time and each time you do this, you will see how the battery holds more and more of a charge. It arrives with a really good charge on it. I don't know if it was fully charged but it seems like it was. I used it to clean three large rooms before it ran out of juice. I made sure it was completely dead by starting it up a few times after it reported "Charge Roomba" until eventually, it would not move at all. I then gave it a full charge and ran it again. This time I did the same three rooms and then I did them again, and then again. I was starting to think that this battery would never run out. This battery is so much better than the original Roomba battery. Now, the battery is new and I don't know how long it will last but my initial experience has been excellent. I will update here again when the battery makes it through the one year warranty period. I should point out that the surfaces the Roomba 770 was dealing with were not easy ones so the performance is even more impressive given that. For example, there are a few small thick carpets on wood floors that the Roomba has to fight to climb up and over. There are also many raised obstacles when the unit passes through rooms that consume more power than a standard flat wood or vinyl floor. I did have one issue when I first installed the battery. It ran fine through the first run but when I plugged it in to charge, it would not recognize the battery. I got a "charge errro 1". I did a reset per Roomba web site but still nothing. I remove the battery, used a wire brush to brush off the contacts on the Roomba, put the battery back in, and all was well. At first I thought the battery was not thick enough and perhaps needed a small piece of foam on the top to press it against the terminals but in the end just the cleaning did the trick. If you do have this issue, try cleaning the terminals (your old battery might have leaked a little on them) and if no luck add a little bit of foam spacer between the top fo the battery and the battery cover. As others here have stated, if you do have an issue, post it here in the reviews to get attention. I wrote to the support address provided in the box with the battery but after four days they have not responded. As it turns out, I don't need any support at this point.

New life for our Roomba 563 (updated)
Update: Dec 2017 -- RIP replacement battery. About a month ago I started noticing times when Roomba wouldn't run, but then I'd put it back on the base, let it charge, and it would go strong. The last week it's been pretty clear that it's all over for this battery. We got 18 months out of it. I lowered my rating to 4 stars. Original battery lasted for 5 years, replacement battery 18 months. Update: Jan 2017 -- Still going strong. Roomba ran for about 2.5 hours the other day. I don't know how much is luck with battery cells and how much is carefully following the conditioning instructions, but it's still working great. A month in and everything is working wonderfully. Our Roomba runs 5 days a week and run times are as long as necessary in our 2 cat, all hardwood household. I carefully conditioned the battery per the directions, fully charging (I let it sit 24 hours), then fulling discharging several days in a row up front. The instructions give very clear advice for conditioning that was good: Unplug your charging dock and tell the Roomba to go back to its dock. It will simply run until it runs out of juice. I did this each day for 3-4 days. I did have to empty the Roomba multiple of times the first day or two because it couldn't run that long without my doing that since Roomba had been dead for about a week when the new battery arrived. Now we are getting multihour runtimes where the old batteries had been lasting maybe an hour before they finally gave up the ghost. Product seemed well packaged, instructions were clear. No issues at all. I see other reviews complaining about short life. Right now I don't see it, but as you can see, there are 12 battery cells in this power pack. If you are unlucky and one fails you'll have problems. My guess is that in a quest to be cheap and pack the highest Ah rating possible into the pack that the cells may not be as robust as you would hope, so I plan to treat it nicely.

New heart for my favorite robot.
This battery fit right into my favorite robot, K248DM. So far, he is doing very well with it. I will monitor his activity and report on the longevity of this battery.

experienced Roomba owner
I purchased the PowerExtra replacement battery for my 531 Roomba in 2022. Battery life was very good until about nine months ago when I noticed that the the charge began to gradually decrease the runtime. Until then, I was quite happy with the battery. Now, the battery no longer holds a charge beyond 5 minutes. i've owned a Roomba since the first model was introduced so know how to properly use, clean, and charge a Roomba to preserve optimum battery life. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was disappointed that this battery didn't last longer. 4/2024 As an update, I decided to try another battery from this company after writing the earlier review and having received excellent and courteous customer service. I'm updating the review from a 3 to 5 stars. The new battery is working great, running about 90 -100 minutes on a charge. Soon I will buy another one for my very old 400 series Robot. I'm glad that these aftermarket batteries exist as the iRobot batteries are too expensive. Have used Roomba vacuums for about 20 years.

Replacement failed !!!!
The week of May 14, 2017 the battery has refused to charge twice. I ran the roomba and I put it on the charger and it blinks red. I leave it off the charger for a day or so put it on and it charged . Used it again put it on the charger and charge fine. Next time I used it I put it on the charger and refused to charge . Left it off the charger for a while put it back on the charger and it's charged and has a greenlight. So something is flaky I'm not really sure what I only use it about every two weeks using it twice in one week was because I had some construction in my house. I only use it in my bedroom because everywhere else it gets stuck or chews up a cord or something but it gets under my bed. And also get stuck on the dogs bed in the bedroom which I have to remove course that's not a problem with the battery it's a design of their unit See update below !! Purchased November 15, 2016 failed March 10, 2017. Outside of the 30 day return window. I've use this less than once a week since I purchased the battery!!! Update woke up in the morning after the battery will not charge and it was fully charged with a green indicator. Have no idea what is going on with this battery. It has gone from one star to three. I will continue using it and update the review if anything changes March 18 Saturday the seller sent me a replacement battery and a complementary gift. Very good service I have had the battery a couple days and I'm not been able to put it in due to my health but right now it is charging without error and excellent service from the seller!!! March 30, 2017 the replacement battery shipped by the seller seems to be working fine !!! I appreciate their shipping a replacement battery. It is May 28 and replacement battery has been acting up since I got it. It will blink read and not charge but if you leave it in the dark it will eventually charge and go green. Then the next time you use it it might charge and go green with no problem or it might blink read for a while and then charge it's very sketchy. I've used it a couple times this week which is more than usual and both times it gave a charging error after trying to charge it. I put the original battery that came with it in there it charges fine and works. It's been about six months since I bought it I think was the original purchase so I doubt they're gonna be able to do anything. I went ahead and ordered another one since it is a deal of the day I figured it's worth $18 to try another one. I updated this review and it doesn't appear to have been saved. The battery sometimes chargers sometimes it gives a charging air and then you come back and it's fully charged so it's no logic to what's going on this is the second battery it was replaced at no charge once.
