BAGSTER 3CUYD Dumpster in a Bag holds up to 3,300 lb, Green

First and foremost, this is a terrific product and for the cost and convenience, I'd definitely use it again if it fits the bill for what I need. We had nearly 700 sqft of ceramic tile to remove from our house in prep for new flooring. The average cost of removal from some quotes I got was about $2.50/sqft. Sorry, I'm cheap and able-bodied, so my wife and I decided to DIY. Originally I wanted to go with a 5 yard dumpster, but at a cost of around $300 to rent that for a few days, Bagster was a clear choice. I checked on Bagster's website and verified that my project would work and we lived in a serviceable area for Bagster so we purchased it and were ready for demo day. Filling the bag was pretty straightforward - open it up, dump in your stuff. Being a 'bag', it is definitely not rigid like the pictures make it seem like it might be. Depending on what you're putting in it, you might be able to get it standing up straight, but with just ceramic tile, that wasn't the case for us. The tile slide down the slides and caused the bag to expand outwards from it's base. No biggie though, according to Bagster's website, as long as the yellow straps can meet in the middle for the crane to pick it up, it's good to go. Collection was a breeze - I created an account on their website, popped in my details and paid the $145 fee for collection. Two days later I received an email that my collection would happen that day, and at about 7:45 am, the collection truck showed up and it took all of about 6 minutes from the time they rolled up till the time they rolled away. The truck had no problem taking away my 2000lb+ bag. Take some of the negative reviews with a grain of salt - the packaging on Bagster tells you in 3 DIFFERENT PLACES that the collection costs are not included. Additionally, the packaging tells you to verify all sorts of stuff (service area, location you'll be placing the bag, etc) before you get started so there are no surprises. And even further, you can contact their customer service number before getting started if you have any questions. There is almost no way to go wrong with this bag except for user inattention. I feel the product does it's job well and if you do your part, everything will be golden. For $170 total, this was well worth it for us.

I bought a couple of bags because I had two different lots to clean. I was clearing out rocks, some cactus, and other debris. As others have noted, be certain that you can use these before buying because there's a lot of rules. Some are on the website, some are in the package. Yes, I know I just said find out before you buy, but also said some rules are in the package. Rules might change over time so I am not listing them here, but others have, and you can look around and do research before you buy as I did. I recommend starting with the bagster website especially for your address and just go on from there. For example, they do not service everywhere, and if they do service your area, you need to be within so many feet of a driveway or street for the truck to access it. You have to have so many feet of open clearance above and around the bag. They have these rules because they use a type of crane on the truck to load the bag into in the truck. For another example, some localities service the area but won't pick up yard debris or other items. You can enter your address on the Bagster site and it will let you know of any site-specific items. You must adhere to the rules or they won't pick up! According to others, they may charge you if they come and can not pick up because you didn't follow the rules. Unfortunately these rules are scattered, you can't find them all in one place, so check the website specifically for your address to make sure service is available in your area, that they'll pick up the type of trash that you're trying to get rid of, as well as some of the rules on bag placement. Also, check the paperwork that comes in the bag for other rules on how the bag must be loaded and bag placement rules. Like I said the rules are scattered. That said, I had a place on both lots that fit the criteria. Some have said that they had trouble with the initial loading, saying the bag walls were falling on them. I had no issues. I placed the bag and stretched it out. Per the directions, I then folded the walls down, in half, which made the walls twice as thick, self supporting them, so they were stiff enough to stand by themselves. I then placed heavy rocks in each corner, basketball size, to stretch the bag, hold it in place for further loading, and also help hold up the walls. Having done that, filling it afterwards was easy. I could run a wheelbarrow with rocks into the center of it and dump the rocks. Once I got near the halfway point I could unfold the sides and then pop the sides back up to fully fill the bags with lighter debris. TMI probably, but the point is if you'll take a little care, and follow the directions, filling it should be easy, I believe. Once they were filled, I went on the website - gave it my information, address and credit card to schedule a pickup. They came out within a few days and picked up both bags. As luck was have it I was home when they arrived and saw the truck, so I watched them do it. They use a truck with a crane on top. The crane swivels out over the bag, they latch onto the handles to pick it up, and drop it in the truck. All of this works great. I thought it was an easy experience except for the rules being scattered. I wish they would have put them all on the website so I could have seen them all at once and in one place. Obviously the locality specific things that would have to be separate because they depend on your address those are on the website. You really shouldn't have to wait to purchase the product to look in the bag to find additional rules those should be on the website. In my case my reading reviews I took a calculated risk and it worked out great. Basically if you've got an open area near where a truck can drive you're probably okay. In summary it worked fine for me I was very happy with it.

I bought this intending on using it for wood scraps and other construction debris, but suddenly realized that this Dumpster In A Bag is the perfect solution for protecting the contents of my mobile "workshop in the forest" from even violent storms. It takes only 30 seconds to completely cover two pop-up work tables, a portable chop saw, assorted power tools, boxes of hardware and screws, trash can, and other essentials by throwing the Dumpster In A Bag over everything all at once. The fitted corners guarantee that the upside down "Dumpster" absolutely won't blow off , as proven by our last storm with gusts over 50MPH. This spring has brought record rains as well as flash floods, but I don't worry about my forest workshop now that this "Dumpster" literally has all my expensive tools covered. I'm done with fiddling around with tarps and bungie cords every night, this really is proving to be the perfect solution. 30 seconds to flip off in the morning, 30 seconds to secure after work is done for the day. Amazing! And as an added bonus, when it's time to move my workshop (every week or two) I just put my work tables and several hundred pounds of other gear into the "Dumpster" to load everything into my little trailer all at once (it has a hand-crank swivel hoist that can handle the weight). While this wasn't the intended purpose for this product, I am really really impressed. There is no other solution like it anywhere on the market today for protecting valuables from weather at such a reasonable price. There's also no doubt that one of these would be wonderful for protecting patio furniture, barbeques, smokers, and other bulky outdoor paraphernalia in the wintertime without spending an arm and a leg. Five stars with enthusiasm for this Dumpster In A Bag!

Overall I like Bagster and recommend it for smaller demo jobs. The total cost was $155 ($30 for the bag and $125 for the pickup, including a $5 discount for liking Bagster on Facebook). The only problem I had was the three day window for pickup which made it harder for me, hence 4 stars instead of 5. (If you have a large demo, get a dumpster or you could get an additional Bagster for about the same price as renting a dumpster. I rented a dumpster four years ago when I remodeled an entire house and it was filled to the rim with doors, a bath tub, 3 toilets, 3 vanities, tile scraps, a large fireplace insert and other miscellaneous debris. From what I recall, that amount of debris could fit into two Bagsters.) My experience - I had no problems with the bag itself. The bag was strong enough and just large enough to hold ~240 sq. ft. of hardwood planks, 100 sq. ft. of carpet and 8 buckets partially filled with cement (approx. 1000 lbs total went into the bag). The bag folded out easily enough and it was not hard at all to place items in the bag. If my demo job was bigger, I could have fit 50% more hardwood planks into the bag if I had more neatly stacked them inside. On a Tuesday I scheduled online for pickup on a Friday which made my pick-up window 6a-6p, Friday to Wednesday (excluding weekends and Monday was a holiday). I had to keep all the debris in my garage until the truck arrived due to my HOA. I placed a special note on my account for the driver to give me a call 1 hour before the truck arrived. I received an email Thursday night that the truck would be coming sometime, 6a-6p Friday. The truck didn't show up on Friday and I received no phone call or email that they wouldn't be coming which was a disappointment. I work from home but a heads-up that the truck wasn't coming could have freed my day. Customer service, the dispatcher and truck driver should all work together to let you know that a truck will not arrive on a certain day - just as a courtesy. On Monday night I received another email that the truck would be coming sometime Tuesday. I got a call from the truck driver around 11:15a Tuesday and he said he was 20 minutes away. He apologized for not calling an hour early. I rushed to move the hardwood and other debris from my garage to the end of my driveway and I had about half of it done when the truck arrived. Because the driver didn't give me an hour heads up he helped move my stuff to the bag. That was great help and he did something that wasn't required. I offered a tip but he refused and he was gone. Easy enough. Overall, a pretty good experience. What I would change about the service - A three day window is understandable, but they should notify you by noon if the truck won't arrive that day. Also they should let you know the previous night if the truck will arrive the next day before noon, as a courtesy.

We were finally ripping out our tile floors from our kitchen...only took 8 years to get to this project. We had a tight budget and the dumpster cost was way over what we wanted to pay. I remember my neighbor having this Bagster, so I looked it up and bought one on Amazon. Arrived quickly with very detailed instructions. I cannot stress how detailed they are and I imagine it is because you MUST follow them to a tee in order for this product to do what you need it to do. I took it out of the bag and opened it up they way they said to and placed it exactly to the specs they said to do so in my driveway. The demo begins and we start filling it up with broken bits and pieces of small and large 12 x 12 tile. You cannot go higher than 11" per the instructions....so I got worried and got a second bag. Both bags filled with tile, other construction junk and well, we cleaned out the garage and placed that junk in there too. And we still had room. I scheduled a pick up- note- Waste Management, depending on your area, cannot pick up quickly and will tell you it can be a 5 business day or longer wait. They also tell you on their website that pick ups start as early as 5am so be aware of that. The first bag costs us $235 and each additional bag was $150...with tax our pick up for this was $410.00 not including the approximate $50 I spent on the bags. (A dumpster was going to cost me almost $1200) The pick up came 5 business days after I placed the online request. The truck came in the morning and the guy picking it up said we could've put more stuff in it and that the only thing he needs on his end is that the yellow straps must be able to touch one another on the top. The truck is situated as close to the bags as possible. Then he uses this remote control panel and attaches the straps to the hook, uses the controller to lift and place them in the truck and he was on his way. Very simple process. But remember not to fill too heavy- the WM site says that if the bag breaks in mid lift they are not responsible for the clean up. Would highly recommend.

If you have never used a bagster what are you waiting for??!! Sooo easy. Anytime we need to do yard work or just want to clean out the garage this is what we use. Its a portable dumpster that you can set up anytime and have picked up anytime. We set ours up in the front yard and schedule pick up through waste management. Total with the cost of the bag and pick up with our local WM it costs us about $250. Which is way cheaper and easier than having a huge portable dumpster delivered and taking up space in our driveway. These bags can hold construction material like concrete with no issues. We've probably used these about 8 times over the past 10 years. Have never had an issue with the bag or with pick up!

Very durable. Easy to use

I have used these twice in the past for remodeling projects and general cleanup, they work great and pick up is a breeze with Waste Management. Purchased from Amazon this time because they are about 5.00 cheaper than the local big box stores.

Lots of bad reviews and complaints of delays out there, but it worked flawlessly for me. Fit a ton of scrap wood (it helps if you stuff it carefully - lots of empty space to be filled in!) Scheduled it for a Friday morning pickup - truck was there at 6:15 am, gone in just a few minutes from my narrow driveway. Neighbours didn't even have to move their car even though it was parked only a few feet away. Flawless. Would definitely recommend as a quick and easy way to get rid of some trash!

I use and reuse these during renovations. Use it in house (don’t over fill) then can drag it through house without mess. Use out doors and lift with forklift attachment on garden tractor to move it out to road/other location. Perfect for back yard projects that need to go thru gates, tight areas

Worked like a charm. Needed to get rid of dirt in Calgary. Looked like a bit more volume than the allowed max for heavy materials, but I'm sure it was less weight, and regardless, the bags were removed without fuss when I wasn't looking, just as various YouTube videos suggested they would be. It was nice to be able to fill the bags at my leisure, without any advance planning, unlike with a bin rental.

I've used these two or three times and have never had any problems with pick-up. I think its a fantastic idea that fills the needs of a many people. And the main reason I use them is that there is no time limit, so you can take your time filling it as the need arises so long as you have somewhere convenient to store it while it's being filled and can still move it to your garage for pick-up (sort of a catch 22 there). Only drawback is I think it's a lot more expensive than it should be.

Easy to unfold, doesn’t hold water, make sure you set it up somewhere that will be easy for the truck to pick it up. The extra cost to have it picked up was $168 in South-Central Ontario (rural area around Barrie). No daily rental costs, no dump fees, no extra fees by weight as you have with a steel dumpster. For me it worked out much cheaper than a dumpster.
