I USED to have a bunch of mosquitoes hanging out under my eaves. These vampires would fly out from under the eaves every time I stepped outside. I tried a pump sprayer and it sort of cut the numbers down a little bit. Now, when I used Cutter Backyard Fogger, I don't see any mosquitoes anymore. Cutter works great.

This does an adequate job of keeping bugs away from a small area. I use it when I'm on my patio which is about 25' x 20' and I would say that it works really well at getting rid of mosquitoes, etc. when you first spray it and for about 90 minutes afterwards. If I'm out there longer than that I need to spray again which means I have to go inside for 10-15 minutes because the smell is pretty powerful. It also works well as a spot spray as it will kill most flying insects on contact. One can goes pretty quickly for me and I'm not outside that much really so it's kinda pricey IMO for that reason.

Helps control mosquito populations.

Great instructions make this easy to use. Just point it at a downward angle and spray while turning in a complete circle. If it's windy out, you want the wind at your back and stand on the edge of the circle of coverage, that way none of it will blow back in your face. It is very effective but it takes about ten minutes before it takes effect. I was sitting in my back yard after spraying and was getting bothered by flies, then, all of a sudden, after about ten minutes, they were gone.

I've been using these Cutter backyard foggers for a number of years, and they work. They definitely kill most of the mosquitos in our small backyard. We've typically bought and used these only for "special occasions", such as when we're going to have a number of guests in our backyard for a few hours. The reason for this is that while we have a small backyard it takes dispensing nearly the entire can (about 90%) to rapidly walk the perimeter spraying the plants and patio to ensure we get at least a 90% mosquito kill rate. It's not 100% effective for killing mosquitos because some will inevitably be hiding deep under a bush, for example, where they are safe for a few minutes until the "fog" disperses. But that is a lot better than having tons of mosquitos spoil a party. Another downside of the product is that you pretty much have to keep spraying once you get going because if you stop for a minute or longer, the next time you press the button to spray you'll get a massive wet splatter of liquid foam that comes out instead of a "fog" of spray. So this just wastes even more product. The only thing I can use the remaining 10% or so in the can is for a quick spritz of any area I think I may have missed earlier. They kill the flies too. Moths: They kill about 10 - 20% of the months. The remaining ones just fly away a short distance and don't seem affected and they'll be back to their usual roost near the patio lights. I just bought a new product from Amazon from another company that's supposed to be good. If it works out better than this Cutter product I'll modify this review and include info on that product, otherwise I think I'm stuck just using this one on occasion for "special events" and not for every day use.
