The Blanket that Hugs You Back
The weighted blanket by La Fiore is great! The CozyHeat cover is very soft, which gets the calming going even before you get under the blanket. Once you are under the blanket, La Fiore's weighted blanket means business. It is not just gently and clumsily resting on you like even a "heavy" quilt does. This weighted blanket wraps itself on and around the sides of your legs, torso, and arms, putting a thorough, yet not smothering, pressure all over. If being hugged by the blanket isn't enough, consider also that its weight will reduce the extent of your random movements while you sleep, and the weight makes it so that the blanket moves with you - as long as you don't do something silly like tuck it in to the sides and end of your bed, like a regular blanket. If you don't tuck regular blankets, then they will fly off the bed in the middle of the night. At 15 lbs, this blanket isn't getting out of bed unless you want it out (though if I could go back in time, then I would probably buy the 20-lb blanket, just to make it an even bigger hug). For psychological consideration, I have PTSD with frequent flashbacks and insomnia, even with meds. The La Fiore blanket is more effective at alleviating anxiety than laying under any other blanket I have used. It helps lull me to sleep at night, even when my meds aren't quite working, and it helps me to get back to sleep much more easily than before I got it. When I have the capacity during a flashback to grab this blanket, it helps decrease the intensity of the flashback and helps to smooth the transition out of the flashback, because my body responds well to soft pressure during flashbacks. I know that many people do not respond positively to touch during a flashback, but I am sure you would still find the anxiety-reduction and the sleep-inducing aspects to be worth making this purchase, even if it you donโt use it during flashbacks.

Improve my sleep quality
I've been wanting a weighted blanket for a long time. I looked and did research and read reviews and ended up purchasing the 60" by 80" 20 lb blanket. I went with this brand because I think YnM and Zonli has some problem with no breathing fabric and making the sleeper sweat a lot. I slept with it the day it got here and I immediately knew it had a positive impact on my sleep. I have a heard time sleeping. Since my purchase I have had some very restful nights. It does seem a little small as I'm used to my cover hanging over the sides, but it still does it's thing. I'm very pleased. When I first purchased I wasn't sure what weight I wanted to go with but the 20 Ibs was enough. If you need something to help you rest and get a good nights sleep please try this. It has really been a pleasant surprise for us. I hope if you order it does exactly what you expect and more. I wish I'd have purchased them sooner. I've had the first one for two weeks and the second for one week and I see no issues with stitching or anything else.

Very soft and slept better
Got my blanket yesterday, that sucker was heavy (I got the 18 lb. one). It was already encased in the "faux fur" cover which was cool because it was super duper soft. I got nervous not knowing if this could've been a return and I really wanted to use it right away and didn't have patience to wash it. So I took my chances (it didn't smell funny). It came with the "cool" cover also which resembles a sheet. Now, let me start by saying I'm one of those people that get HOT in the middle of the night. My legs literally catch fire. So bad like I used to stand in front of an open fridge at 3am or put cold wash rags on my legs. I knew this would be a challenge w/ fur and 18lbs but I was up for it. First thing I noticed was I only woke up about 3-4x last night when typically I wake up like 10x per night. I only woke up because my legs got hot and I had to shift them around. But I def stayed asleep longer than normal and that was remarkable. My kid tried to sneak in my bed and get under the covers so that woke me up b/c I had to fight him off as to not disturb my weight distribution ratio. He learned a valuable lesson. If you get cold or stay cold, THIS IS PERFECT FOR YOU. I was just too damn lazy to figure out how to change out covers and I wanted to go to sleep asap. Maybe I'll try tonight. But overall, this thing was great. Lived up to it's expectations. It's def pricey but I think it's worth the investment esp to get a good night's rest. I suffer from fibromyalgia and it didn't bother me at all. For reference, I'm 5'6" and 185 lbs, I got the 18lb 60x80. I would've enjoyed 48x72 but 12 lbs was too light. The size was pretty big. But I think 20 lbs would've been ideal.

UPDATE - You should buy this blanket!
Updated 4/12: First - the customer service ROCKS! They went above and beyond to reach me and to resolve my issues with the blanket. Second - they have since redesigned their blankets and the previous issue I had is no longer a concern. The pockets are a good size, the blanket distributes weight nicely, and the new weights are even better for finding something that will work for you. The covers that come with it are very good quality and the ties are strong. The furry one feels so soft, and the cooler one is smooth and does actually feel cool. There's no reason you shouldn't buy this blanket, you'll love it, and if you don't the customer service will do what they can to make it right. Kudos to a company that listens to the feedback of its customers! Original review: Likes: came with both a warm and cool cover, both are soft. The weight feels good, like getting hugged all over. Beads are quiet, makes no noise. Did not like: Did not realize the pockets/squares were so large. The beads, which have the texture of sand stay bunched up in the corners - see picture. The weight feels good but didnโt distribute well, mostly for the following reasons: My small frame, Iโm only 5โ3โ. Plus I have fibromyalgia and I am very sensitive to how things feel. And probably some OCD. Overall, it does what itโs supposed to do. Would probably work well on an average to large size person. Do not reoccommwnd for anyone small or overly sensitive. Will be returning.

Highly recommend
Bought this for my son. He loved it. Slept through the night for the first time in ages. He takes it off the bed to hang out on his couch in the evening. The quality is superb. The soft furry duvet feels wonderful. The extra duvet is just like a sheet. That's the one to use in warm weather. I should add that getting 2 duvets is not standard with a weighted blanket. The weight is spread evenly. His is the 25 pound one. He's 5'11 and just over 25 pounds. I bought one and received it today. Ended up with the 20 pound as I couldn't find a 15, which I thought would be the best weight for me. I'm 5'4" and 115 pounds. I took it out and had a rest on the couch this evening and the weight feels perfect, but I'm anxious to try it out tonight. This is an additional post just to follow uo. I have been sleeping with this blanket for weeks now. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The weight is perfect for me, but others my size might prefer one that is not so heavy. My sleep is deeper and more refreshing. I do feel a calming effect as well. The 2 duvet covers are a great bonus. Some come with o e and others I looked at do not come with any. So if you're considering it at all BUY IT. If it doesn't work for you, you can always return it.

Not for sufferers of back pain
I bought this blanket because I'm both a sufferer of anxiety and a hot sleeper, so my hope was to both find a blanket that wouldn't make me uncomfortably hot while also providing me the same experience many have claimed to have with weighted blankets regarding less tossing and calming the mind. Unfortunately, this did not help with my issues and only exacerbated a different one. Firstly, the heating cover is definitely soft and the cooling one is cool to the touch. However, the cooling cover I got had what looked like a splattering of water stains or something on it. As for the heating one, I can't use it at all because my cat loves microfiber and was immediately kneading it with her claws as soon as I opened the package. Its also a bit of a struggle managing the cover with such a heavy insert, but that's probably a given so I can't dock points for that. Secondly, I didn't experience anything in terms of a calming feeling. Yeah, it kept me a from tossing, but my mind still raced as it always does. I also wouldn't say it "feels like a hug" like so many others say. Its more like if someone laid a blanket over you and then buried you in sand. Third, its a bit loud. Minor movements are fine, but if your partner is a light sleeper, you getting in and out of bed will absolutely wake them up as this sounds similar to the shuffling of a plastic grocery bag or something when moved. And lastly, for my own personal problem: My back. I'm currently recovering from chronic back pain due to my spine getting misaligned. As such, I use pillows such as knee pillows to keep everything straight and in place. The extra weight from this blanket seems to throw all of that off, compressing the pillows too much, making my body bend just enough to bring back my back pain while trying to sleep. Overall, I'm sure its a good blanket for those who feel it works. As for myself, it didn't work at all, and I can't recommend it to anyone who suffers from similar back pains as this may just cause you issues.

The blanket I didn't know I needed
I originally bought this blanket for my husband so I got it in 20lb weight. I also got it to fit our queen size bed which the blanket still isn't truly big enough to really share but it works. I have always loved the weight of our down comforter during the winter months but never really thought much of it. My husband has had issues sleeping at night and mentioned he also liked the weight of the winter comforter. So I did my research and started on the hunt for a weighted blanket that would fit our bed that came with a duvet cover. We have 2 dogs we share our bed with so being able to wash all bedding is a must in our house. I bought the blanket based on my husbands height and weight not mine. I'm only 5'1" and 107lbs so the 20lbs is slightly heavy for me but a good weight for him. The blanket is an odd size so you really can't cover two people comfortably. I have bad legs that get something similar to restless leg syndrome when the weather changes or I've been working out. The only way to calm them down is with firm pressure that keeps them warm. This blanket has been a game changer for me for sleeping just due to the fact it seems to calm down my leg so that I can fall asleep and actually sleep. I can't say that this would help people with similar issues but it has been amazing for me and my husband has been sleeping better. I would recommend this blanket to anyone who has been thinking about buying would just do it and get one. This one comes with 2 duvet covers so you will always have a spare or you change them to fit your mood. I have the cool one one and it's like a sheet type material and it prevents the blanket from retaining to much heat.

The thing I like the most about this blanket is that it gives me the cozy feeling no matter how cold my room temperature is.

Super snuggle factor.
It's like being snuggled all night by a Zen monk who took an oath of snuggliness.

Missing cover
Very disappointed. The blanket was supposed to come with two covers. I only received one. It was important to me to have both the warm and cool cover. The cooling cover is missing.
