Good quality
I used the #2 extractor to extract a stripped allen head set screw. I didn't have to drill it because the stripped allen head hole in the set screw was the correct size for the extractor (7/64 allen wrench size). I tapped the extractor in place with a small hammer. There wasn't much room where the set screw was located, so I had to use a small 5/32 open end wrench (4mm wrench will work also) to turn the extractor. Ironically enough, one side of the open end wrench actually broke off before the allen screw broke loose. The extractor was still solid in place so I got another open end wrench and tried again. Success! the screw broke loose and I was able to extract it. Bottom line: If an open end wrench breaks from the torque before the extractor breaks, in my mind that's a testament to the quality of the extractor.

Works great ! Go slow !
So I usually don’t write reviews but this extractor set is worthy. I use Bosch hammer drills on my job and have been happy with their tools and bits. With that being said I bout a project motorcycle that was laid down and banged up and discovered several broken bolts. These pictures are the gas tank bolt and the right foot peg bolt. I read a bunch of reviews and decided to try these. I went slow bc some of y’all said the bits snapped off. Drilled the pilot hole then tapped in the bit gently with a small hammer and gradually put counter clockwise pressure with small vice grips. To my pleasant surprise both bolts backed out. Man what a great rush. Give them a try. Take your time and lots of WD or PB blaster.

Packaging is where the positive end
The packaging is great and other than that everything else is awful. Bosch is usually decent but not the case here. First. Both the drill bits and the extractors are not very sharp or strong as I broke the tip of the bit right away when I started drilling and snapped the extractor as soon as it started to bite. I was better off using my own titanium Drill bits I had. This made my problem sooo much more of a headache than it was ready was (keep in mind I was using this tool as intended). On top of that, both the extractors and the bits are pretty short compared to my other bits I used (probably cause they are cheap and can’t take higher torque if they were longer) but the worst part of it was that on the small extractors, the square end you are meant to put a wrench on are extremely small. Idk anyone one owns a wrench small enough to fit on that and if you use a small crescent wrench, the surface area is still so small that the play in the wrench adjuster is enough to no be able to actually get a grip on it. I want my money back for this and I honestly wish I could get reimburse for now having to now disassemble the motor, get a machine shop to drill out and rethread the stud, and have everything all reassembled again. This really sucks

Works well, manufacturer defect?
Overall, I like this set. I have used it many times since my purchase, and have had success in doing so. The case it comes in is great. All of the bits except one seem to be durable and hold up well. Unfortunately it lost a star because the 2nd from smallest bit sheared off under very little force the first time I used it. Pretty disappointing for a Bosch product. All the other bits seem to hold up well under pressure, even the smallest bit, but this one sheared off and now I am short one size for my set.

Did exactly what I needed
Had a transmission pan bolt snap off inside the female threading. The break was not flat so it was an incredibly sketchy surface for the bits to try and gain any amount of purchase. After patience finding the proper angle at which it would grab, it extracted the broken bolt with ease. This kit will come in handy for many years to come.

Extractor broke off in screw, drill bits are forward not reverse cut
Pros: • Nice storage case with rubber bumpers • Drill bit did cut into screw, but not reverse cut Cons: • Extractor broke off in the screw! Made problem worse! • Drill bits are not reverse, only cut in clockwise direction • Plastic packaging is dreadful to open, bordering on dangerous I have a bathtub overflow where the screws have rusted, leaving just the screws remaining in the PVC, but no head remaining. I bought these to extract the screws. They made the problem worse after the extractor (#1 size) broke off in the screw! I initially smoothed the rough rusted surface of the screw with a Dremel tool, using both a burr and grinding wheel. Using a small burr, I made a detent to drill safely into. I used the 5/64” drill bit. Initially I had the drill in reverse, as this is what most extractor sets have so the drill doesn’t drive the screw in further. It didn’t cut. Putting the drill into the forward direction the drill did drill into the screw. I drilled a hole between ¼” to ½” in each screw. I then used the #1 screw extractor. I tried gently tapping with a hammer, but that didn’t do a whole lot. I didn’t want to hit it hard for fear of breaking the PVC assembly. Eventually I did get the extractor to start to bite into the screw. I slowly was using a small pair of vice grips slowly turning the extractor counter clockwise. I did get a good bit into the screw, but before the screw started to back out the extractor tip broke off in the screw. This made the problem worse! I’ve tried using the same 5/64” drill bit to cut through the extractor, but it seems the extractor is harder than the bit. I think all I did was dull the drill and make a bit of a mess out of what was a cleanly drilled hole in the screw. The set itself comes in a nice, rugged plastic case with rubber bumpers on the corners. That part is nice. It would have been fine if this was shipped in just a cardboard box, but no…. That plastic case was encased in clear plastic for apparently a peg board display. While I was able to open the plastic without tools, it wasn’t easy, and there were lots of sharp edges to avoid getting injured opening the package. This also just creates more plastic waste. I despise this type of packaging, and there is no reason to have it for products sold through Amazon. Having the screw extractor break off in the screw on the first use is extremely disappointing. The drill bits also being standard bits and not reverse bits also is disappointing. I will be seeing if I can return this set.

It works
I ordered 5 different sets of tools to remove a stripped screw. The first one I tried didn’t do anything but this tool removal tool worked perfectly and removed the screw in about 30 seconds. I didn’t even try the other 3 tool sets. I will try them next time I have a stripped screw. Don’t buy anything else, you will be waisting your time and money.
