It is very nice pet home-cage
After a research, I bought Prevue Pet Products cage for my Cockatiel in Chalk white MODEL N 3152. It is very nice pet home-cage, here is why: - GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE: the cage is on 90 days warranty from manufacturer www.prevuepet.com, so if you buy it and something will happen during shipping, you will not stuck with a broken cage, they take care of they customers. The customer service person Dee is very nice. You will make a great investment, if you purchase this cage!!! - BIRD SAFETY: The bars spacing and thickness suites requirements of a medium parrot, like a cockatiel, he cannot escape in between, put his head through to stuck or bent them. It is a sturdy contraction, easy to put together, took me 1 hour, if it bent a little in small details, just use wrench to bent it back. It made of Wrought Iron with a powder coated paint - a very long-lasting, durable finish. Mean, the cage parts was electrostatically charged which makes the powder paint flow evenly over the surface of the iron and adhere to it. So, parrots, that like to chew will not chew off the toxic chips of paint or be poison with exposed rusted metal. The points, where bars are crossed, are covered with the paint entirely, so, no bacteria, dust will be collected in between. And, my bird loves the cage as his home, it is very roomy, let him even fly and climb there, if he want too. And, it still will be roomy enough by requirements, if my one bird will be bored and I will get a friend, second bird. wink emoticon Cage comes with best 4 stainless still dishes, that cannot be tipped over, removed by bird. They placed on side small doors, so you may change water and food any time without opening the cage, if you rushing in the morning. I only wish they all 4 will be shallow ones, but they can be purchased for convenience. - CONVENIENT to USE: Big door for easy access to reach inside of the cage space! It is on sturdy wheels, so I can move the cage, and, vacuum under it, or, move it to bathroom to clean. Move my bird in cage in bedroom, if I have an evening party in my living room. Move my cockatiel next to a window to keep him exposed to a daylight or sun through a mesh screen, which is important for bird health. And, it has a playground on top of the cage, which is much more advanced, sturdy, easier to clean, and bigger then a separate one on a market. And, it can be removed at day time to use it somewhere else, it has it's own removable cleaning tray, which is brilliant! On top of the cage, can be used without the tray, so all waist will go through wires on the bottom into the cage. - EASY to CLEAN: It has seed catching skirt, so no seeds and poop on the floor, even if my bird do climbing outside of the cage on it's walls. The paint coating make the poop just come off very easily, which is so so great, safe time and effort in cleaning. Two trays, one for inside of the cage, one for playground, so cool. The rack with wires on bottom of the cage above the tray in cage can be removed for cleaning too, amazing. And, the rack floor has big space from the tray floor, so my bird cannot eat trash through the wires from the floor, super smart construction.

Happy Conure & Happy Owners
I'm very pleased with this cage and so is my Yellow Sided Green Cheek Conure. The Amazon price is very impressive and especially when compared to the well known chain @ $354.99 and close to 3xs when compared to our local privately owned pet store. I opened the package as soon as it arrived (1-day shipping @ $3.99 with prime) and immediately put it together which took approximately 20 min. I prepared myself for major problems after reading some of the reviews, but assembly was a breeze. Instructions were both easy to read and easy to follow, until I got to the cagetop playstand & corner seed guards. It is at this point that you may need to exercise a bit more patience and rely on a little intuition (use the picture as a guide). Once the cage is fully assembled it is beautiful and works very well to my surprise. I half way expected this cage to be inferior to the ones that we've seen in stores, but the inexpensive price does not mean that its cheaper in quality and that was a very nice bonus. Best Features: 1) Cage top playstand my conure loves it and we love that this play area has replaced his swing and swing stand, which was incredibly messy at times. (the swing is now inside of the cage) 2) Wrout Iron is so nice to have for cleaning compared to plastic on the Super Pet Habitat Defined Bird Cage, Cockatiel Enrichment Home with Activity Center . We hate that cage, but our little buddy loved the smaller, darker space. The cleaning trays are also a plus and there are two sets. One to catch what the bird leaves behind on the cage top and one for the cage below. Just pull them out completely to empty and clean, then easily slide them back into place. 3) Food & water bowls are of great quality and fit nicely into their holders. 4) The corner seed guards are the best feature of this cage. In our Conure's old cage/habitat he would continuously toss his food onto the floor. Food and snacks are now easily redirected into the cage with these guards in place, requiring less sweeping and vacuuming. (width with seed guards is approx 26.5") The transition took approximately 3 days for our Conure and he is now very happy in his new space.

A review you can trust !!
This review is on the putting together of the cage after receiving it in the mail only ! First of all, I have seen lots of comments on the box not being complete with all the parts and a strange smell, etc. The cage we received (the 18x18x57) had none of that. It came complete, well packaged and in excellent condition. Secondly, I have seen comments about the instructions to put it together being incomplete and basically just pictures of how to put it together. Again, totally different than what we received. For someone who has put together any type of products (furniture, toys, etc) this will be a breeze. Step by step instructions were provided and the pictures for the most part were spot on. The only part that was a bit confusing was the very last step of putting together the seed skirt. But after a few minutes it makes sense and you almost feel like a dope for not understanding what was listed. The build process took about 90 minutes to complete. It took two of us (me, 53 yr old dad and my 18 yr old daughter) to finish. The only tools needed were the enclosed allen wrench and at the end a pair of needle nose pliers (helps hold the nuts when fastening the seed skirt. The second person is needed a few times just to have another set of hands. Bottom line recommendation based on my experience: GET IT ! We are waiting on our cockatiel baby to be weaned so we can bring it home from the breeder. I cant see this cage not being perfect for him because it is well built, easy to put together and it seems very sturdy !! If I remember, after we receive our bird and he has been in the cage for a bit, I will update this review, but again, I cant see why this cage wont be perfect for a cockatiel or anything smaller !!!

Some sloppy construction flaws but still awesome cage for the money.
All the reviews were dead on. Difficult to put together and holes don't line up. Dented in place and needed to be touched up with the paint they send with it but still a great design and value. I bought for my green cheek and once the toys were in, it was a tight space (18x18) so I found another one just like this one (used on Craigslist and put together) and got that as well. The one that I bought here on amazon is a secondary cage that I use now if I want to move my bird in to a diffent room but again I feel it is too small, even for my little conure, to have it be her full time cage. Get your little feathered friend the biggest cage your space will hold. I cannot stress enough that then18x18 is very small. My conure is a small bird and I would never leave her in there full time. She is the size of a cockatiel. The 24 inch cage is perfect for her. This line of cages (minus the frustrations) is great design. The seed catcher at the bottom works great for little birds who can't lean out past it. I have almost no mess around the cage which is awesome. The side bowls are easy to access and latch securely. The front door lock design is impossible for the bird to open. The top play pen is a nice addition but the perch is really designed for a large bird and can be a little hard for little bird to grasp. I put perch covers on mine to make it a little less slick. No place to hang toys for the playpen but someone who is handy and has a drill could rig up something. Cleaning the cage is super easy. Both the playpen and the main cage have sturdy metal slide out tray. The bottom grate also slides out easily for cleaning and latches in place when in cage. Despite some sloppy construction of hole alignment and an occasional dent, I would still highly recommend this cage. Great value for the money. You do need to plan on 1 hour to put together and you will need a second set of hands for a couple of steps. It can be done with one person but it is far easier with two.

High quality, good looking cage. Easy to build
Tdlr: high quality, good looking, easy to build cage. A couple small caveats I will mention below I needed a replacement for my green cheek conure's cage--i actually had the same cage model, but 16 years older! I was a little worried about receiving a cage in the mail, but it arrived within 2 days with no issue. The box was heavy but I was able to move it around myself. Pros: The cage is remarkably easy to assemble, and just as sturdy as the original version from 16 years ago. It looks amazing and the skirt to catch food is a nice touch. I tested the surface of the cage with a lead swab test and it was negative. Some people have complained about the dimensions of this cage model, saying it's too narrow and the height doesn't really matter because the bird will want to stay at the top anyway. I will say that it has been a happy home for my conure for 16 years and he loves it! I definitely would not put more than 2 birds in this, though. Cons (all minor): 1) there were a couple areas where the coating appeared scratched/thin, mainly on the outside of the food grates. There is one tiny spot on the ladder outside the cage where the metal is visible. The manufacturer did provide a tube of spare paint which is interesting--but I decided against using it because there is no exposed metal inside the cage where my bird could chew on it. 2) There is one small area inside the green cage where there is a splatter of white coating. It's tiny and not visible unless you look really closely. 3) the provided food bowls tested positive on a lead swab test. Not gonna take a star off because those tests can easily produce false positives, but my old bowls from 16 years ago did not test positive so I will be keeping those.

Great large cage for great price
I was a little worried about putting this together all by myself but I did it. I used both hands to pat myself on the back after completion. Be sure to measure your door frame before putting the seed/poop guard on the bottom because had I put it on before hand I would’ve not got it in the room. Could of used an extra hand a couple times but nothing I couldn’t figure out on my own. The seat guard was actually the hardest part of it all. A couple things were bent A little but was able to straight out with some needle nose pliers and the play top u bar was off, I really had to bend it to make the ladder fit and it’s a little crooked but no big deal. My Pionus was in her other cage for 20 years, she seems to like this one but obviously it’s a little bit different. She hasn’t figured out how to get up to play top yet that’s why I zip tied a ladder. My other bird has no problem finding his way up & over since day 1 which is bad because that was the purpose of getting this cage. My other cage had a dome top with no play top and she had her toe bit a couple times so that won’t happen now I hope. They have been together for eight years but my Myers can be a butt and he wants to be which is a lot. I also have two parakeets. Very happy with my purchase.

Our cockatiel's hideaway.
We purchased this cage for our new arrival - a cockatiel. Fortunately, we ordered it well in advance of our 'tiel showing up, as the first one we received was damaged. When assembling, the bottom portion has tabs that lock into the legs. Well, one of those tabs was missing, so the bottom portion would not sit into place. So we contacted Amazon, who sent a replacement cage, and we returned the damaged one (at no cost to us, other than time). With that quality assurance issue out of the way, we received the new cage. Everything was packed well. In fact, the shipping box had a few tears and holes, but the contents were in fine shape. On the safe side, Prevue includes touch up paint, but fortunately, we didn't need it. Assembly was a breeze, despite the instructions being a bit weak. All of the pieces fit into place well. The only challenging piece is the ladder for the upper perch. You kind of have to bend the arms back to get it into place. In addition, the cage walls are a pain if you are assembling yourself. It will help to have a helper. The cage comes with a perch for inside, a perch for the top, and 4 stainless steel bowls for food and/or water. I do wish it came with another perch for inside, as one just doesn't cut it. The cage also includes casters/wheels, that roll nicely to move the cage around as needed. And the latches/locks all work nicely. The large door allows you to reach all parts of the cage, and the bowl doors allow you to change out food/water quickly. The side skirts seem to catch the majority of seed and droppings, and force them back into the cage to land in the bottom trays. I do wish they had a quick removal option - maybe a screw you can remove with your fingers rather than needing a screwdriver. I'm sure a trip to the hardware store could fix that right up. The trays themselves catch all the litter our 'tiel creates which is great. The trays slide out very easily for cleaning and paper changing. All in all, the cage is a great fit for our 'tiel. Our little one can climb around the walls, has room to spread wings, room for toys, and loves to hang out on top of the cage. With that said, we do wish there was a little more width to the cage. Also, the bar gap is not an issue for our 'tiel. Overall, we are very pleased with this cage. It's not an eyesore, and it does what we need it to.

and it was pretty easy. It's a great cage and it's very ...
I have a green cheeked conure, and I bought the 18 x 18 x 57. I assembled it myself in about 1.5 hours, and it was pretty easy. It's a great cage and it's very heavy and sturdy. I feel like some of the things on it are actually a little too big for a cockatiel or a small conure - the playtop on the top feels awfully big to me for his little feet. You'll need some kind of a ladder or something hanging over the side so your bird can climb from the door to the top. I also did experience the "gasoline" smell other people reported on the wheels, but this is due to the rubber and the oil they use to make them roll (similar to oiling a bikes wheels). I soaked the wheels in a hot bowl of dawn dish soap for about a half hour and then dried them off, and there's no smell now. Due to the playtop, the top of the cage is solid and not a lot of light gets in and it can feel very dark - please buy your bird some kind of a UVB lamp to go with it so they get some light. Sorry the picture is sideways, Amazon keeps rotating it and wont put it vertical. Good purchase, great delivery, no problems, no dents or broken pieces, heavy and great quality cage. Recommend! Update: I had two of these (for a conure and a cockatiel) and after using this cage for a year I actually decided to go with something else. Why? The seed guards are terrible - it's a nice idea, and I loved them at first, but my birds crap all over them. Like, all over then. And the poo gets in between the cracks and is difficult to clean, and with the amount of scrubbing I had to do, the powder/varnish/coating was coming off. Also, it's very narrow and tall....so it's like half the cage is wasted. All the toys hung on the top half (above the food) and the bottom half was just...nothing. I prefer a cage that is tall and wide, if that makes sense. I also think it's a bit too big for a cockatiel...mine had trouble navigating to the top of the cage and the bigger bars at the top. Anyway, I loved these at first when I first assembled them, but after having them for a year and seeing how toys go in and how my birds actually use the cage, there are much better options out there.

Great buy.
This cage is great for my green cheek conure. She loves the space it gives her to play and move. It looks great in my living room and isn't to big that it takes up to much space, set up was easy but I would recommend having someone there to help because by the end you really needed extra hands. The seed catcher is so handy and helps to keep everything clean and all the mess stays in the cage. The cage came with touch up paint which is handy. It comes on wheels which is a blessing on hardwood floors but if you have carpet I'd rethink it. Overall I love this cage and it'll be a great long term home for her.

Great quality & easy to assemble
Right size cage for my conure. Great quality & easy to assemble, took me lest than 2 hours even the installation instructions is unclear. Poor packing around the package corners. Found one of the cage leg is slight twisted. Need to straighten it.

Cage will arrive damaged
If you read the other reviews u will see the cages are known to arrive damaged, this one had the metal all bent I spent an hour bending back into place, still looks a bit weird but other than that good cage.

Absolutely love this cage!
Cage came in perfect condition. Instructions were simple to follow. I did require a second set of hands to help put it together. Love the colour. The cage is for one GC Conure...so I feel, as well as the breeder, that the cage is a great size, especially having the playtop. I chose to not set up the seed catcher only because I have 3 young children running around, didn’t want them bumping in to the corners of the seed catcher and getting hurt. My only dislike is unrelated to the cage itself...it’s the price. I was lucky to get it for an excellent price. However, I was looking at buying a second one for my 2 budgies and the price is more than double what I paid. So I will be waiting for the price to drop.
