I decided to start a strength training program at home during the pandemic. Myself, knees, & elbows are not as young as they used to be & it was keeping me from doing floor exercises. My goal was to find a thicker pad for a bit more comfort. I figured the more comfortable I was, the greater possibility that I would continue. Well, this exactly fit the bill. It is just under a half inch thick and is perfect for extended planks & relaxing child's pose. It makes a bit of a bulky 7 1/2" in diameter bundle so it might be a big to take to classes but it is absolutely perfect for home use. If you do want to travel with it, it does come with a velcro adjustable carrying strap that is easy to use & adjust. Also, the great part about this package is the extra pad that is included with it. It is the same width & thickness as the mat but it is about 12" wide. It can be used flat for extra padding under the knees or rolled up to go under head, neck, lower back or similar use for Pilates or Yoga. One side is ridged side-to-side, the other side is smooth. It seems that it will be both slip resistant on a floor & underfoot during exercises. The one thing that could be negative is that I noticed the straps look like they have made a permanent imprint on the pad & it does get marked scratched quite easily so I am not sure about the long term durability. But for now it is perfectly what I wanted.

I ordered this because the reviews were good -and I liked the knee pad that was included. The mat came - not purple but bright green. I like the color, so I kept it anyway. The foam density is nice and firm. I am happy with this purchase. I am using this at home.

While it starts getting dents and imprints after a month of use, and I only expect it to last a few more months, it was a great starter mat. For those of you who don't know if you'll be using this consistently for more than a few months, this is my top recommendation. Mind you, if you're going to be dedicated with it, go ahead and search for a $60 one that'll last you five times as long. I love the knee pad that comes with it and I use it all the time, though usually only as a travel-size mat or supporting other spots because the mat itself is pretty thick so I don't need both layers for my knees. Though once this breaks down I'll be splurging for a high-quality mat, this was a perfect purchase for me that I would do over again in a heartbeat.

This was the least expensive yoga mat I could find on Amazon, which is the primary reason I decided to give it a try. I think I got a good deal for the price I paid. I really like the color I chose. The shade of blue shown in the listing is exactly the same as the actual color of the mat. Straight out of the box, the mat had a faint chemical smell. I'm very sensitive to synthetic chemicals and their odors, but I didn't find this smell bothersome. The included strap for storing/carrying the mat is wide and sturdy. It stays on securely without slipping off and adjusts easily with velcro. The adjustable handle on the strap allows the mat to be carried around without the need for a separate bag. The mat is described as ½ inch thick in the listing. It's close to ½ inch at it's widest point, but not quite. I would definitely not describe the foam material as "high density". It's soft and has a lot of give, which may not be supportive enough if you're going to try something like balancing on your head. Moves like that would probably require a higher quality mat. I've been using it on carpet and find it more than adequate for gentle yin yoga. The "wavy" side of the mat provides good grip for yin yoga. I haven't tried using it for hot yoga yet. The smooth side of the mat is a bit slippery for hands and feet. If I put it smooth side down, it doesn't slip on carpet. I tested it on a hard floor once, and it didn't slide around. The included knee pad is very useful. It's made of the same material as the mat itself. That little bit of extra cushioning under the knees can make a big difference in comfort if you need a little more support for your joints like I do. I haven't had this yoga mat for very long and can't say much about it's durability yet. If it doesn't hold up well with frequent, light use, I'll update my review. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase and would gladly recommend this Everyday Essentials ½ inch yoga mat. 👍👍

This is my second one. I bought the first one a little over a year ago. I use it daily outside on the balcony and it's held up well. It was a little rough, so I transferred the first one to my parents' house to use there. I purchased again because the extra thick padding is great. I like the length. It is bulky though to fold. So if you want a more slim, portable mat, this is probably not the best choice. It does come with straps, which are not the easiest to use and I don't use them often. For an at-home mat with extra padding and length, highly recommend.

Love this exercise mat! It adds the perfect amount of support & cushion for your body. It feels like a cloud! It helps so much when doing at home workouts & yoga because your bones aren’t grinding on the hard ground or sinking into the mat. I also really appreciate the miniature knee support pad included, you can either use it for extra support/comfort or place it at the end of your mat to add a length to it. The strap works great & it’s easy to use, only takes me 5 seconds to wrap it up again when i’m done using it. The quality for the price is outstanding!

This is my first personal yoga mat, and I am very satisfied the foam really supports my back for exercises like hip thrust, and sit-ups it also supports my knees and hands and it helps with balance. Yesterday I was doing planks, and my palms were red when I was was finished so it really helps that I have this now to support my hands

I received balance Disc as free for BalanceFrom Exercise Mat. Which is a awesome product and very good for back pain. We can sit long time on the disc without having any stress. I read so many reviews of other exercise mats that were cheaply made, had strange smells, were too thin, etc. and I finally came across the BalanceFrom Exercise Matt and am so glad I ordered it! Not too thin or too thick just right!. Durable material, no smell and came with a carrier wrap and a knee pad. I have recommended this mat to my friends. Best find in regard to quality and price for an exercise/yoga mat on Amazon!

Ik wou een eigen pilatesmat aankopen omdat ik niet meer de gemeenschappelijke in de studio wou gebruiken. Ik ben doelbewust op zoek gegaan naar een extra dikke mat en deze sprak mij aan omdat hij van zichzelf al dik was, maar er ook een extra dik stuk bij was voor de polsen of knieën. Het is degelijk materiaal dat stabiel en comfortabel is, maar beide stukken waren spijtig genoeg maar 1cm dik idpv de 1,27cm en 1,9cm.

as advertised. i use it for pilates, etc. the extra knee mat seems a bit useless. carry handle/ velcro tie is helpful. i'd buy it again
