I used these for sanding aluminum parts for the gas and oil industry, they worked great to detail aluminum, copper, brass etc!

Easy to use, versatile, size to fit small spaces, great value

This is a clever tool that does things that other mass produced tools can not. It was better than a dremel for precise control. It also can be more precise than most files. The surprising feature which I loved was that the sandpaper easily rotates around the stick. But it stays in place during use. So after you wear out the small section by the tip, you just rotate it half inch to get fresh sandpaper on the tip. Just don’t rip through the backing paper or the entire band is trash. It does come with lots of replacements. For the money I would have wanted cloth backed sandpaper (usually it’s black). it came with decent quality abrasive paper but I did tear through the paper backing on a band. I feel this improvement request is just based on the price point. Had it been $5 less I think the paper backed abrasive would have been good value. The plastic holders are decent quality. They are rigid with a tiny amount of give. I would buy this again.

Love these for getting those small areas like the lip of a dresser. It comes with additional replacement bands which is convenient. Very durable and perfect for areas an orbital sander can’t get.

Looking at these online I could tell they were plastic and appeared like they might be a little flimsy. The price was fair, but not what I considered extremely low and given the appearance of flimsy plastic, I was a little concerned I might be disappointed upon arrival. I ordered them anyway to do some detail sanding on small models. Upon opening, was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy and well designed they are. Upon use, even more impressed with the ergonomic design, and the ease of moving the sandpaper strips around the device quickly to always present a fresh sanding surface while working. This is a great feature. The spring load is perfect. A very useful tool and clearly designed and engineered for the user. Impressed with quality and usability. Highly recommended.

I am a professional woodworker and teach in a college woodworking program. I use these detail sanders to do my finish sanding in tight places, especially angled corners. They are well suited for this task and I always recommend them to my students. Glad I discovered them.

We were sanding our front door to re-stain it and I needed a tool to get in the corners. Before I received this product I was using sanding blocks or bending sandpaper in half. This product came in time and was the ideal product to use in my situation. On one end the tool allows you to get in the tight flat areas. On the other end the tool allows you to get in the concave areas. The kit comes with a slew of sanding belts and in a variety of different grits.The biggest frustration that you may encounter is that the belt will come off if you sand sideways or apply to much pressure. If they can design it so that the belt does not come off, this tool would be so much better.

Perfect for detail when wood carving. Makes sanding a lot easier.

Had one of these many years agobut was unable to buy replacement sanding strips. These are exactly the same. Work very well for small spaces.

Tig welder, here! Thin extruded aluminum with grooves, low amerage. Sometime, you have to sand down a small repair that pokes and it must be so that it won't show once the metal is painted. having a precise tool like that makes it so that you only sand where you need to and not all around it at the same time. makes the job easier AND quicker.Do NOT sand from side to side too often, or you'll cut the straps, and it's convenient to be able to juste turn the strap around the tool to always work with fresh grit. Most often I use the pointy end and turn the strap 3/32" when it's used.Straps last a long time, none of the sticks have failed me yet and I had those for a year.

I bought these so my wife could refinish a table. she loved the size of these sticks which allowed her to get into the small rounders contours of the legs. Color coding the sticks for the different sanding grits makes grabbing the right one really easy for her and the extra sanding strips should keep her going for a while. I would definitely recommend these for detail work.
