How to open the battery case?

Holding the battery pack with the On/Off switch away from you, push with both thumbs on top sliding the cover away from you. You'll need a bit of pressure to open it the first time. Slide it back and snap into place to close. I cracked mine trying to figure out how it open it as well. Hope this helps.

You can use a paint brush or a dusting stick to clean if the flowers and leaves strong is dusted

Can I use this outside?

Sorry that you may not use it outside as the battery box is not waterproof. But you can separate the rose flower vine from the copper string lights, because the rose flower vine is waterproof, which can be used outside.

It's just one string of 7 ft. garland. Its very pretty!
