Yes, the Red Devil 9" Extreme Duty Caulk Gun #3989 worked great, with minimal effort requirement. Used with a 10.5oz metal tube of DuPont BetaSeal U-428 Plus, Primerless to Auto Glass Urethane Adhesive.

Will 3m 8.5" tubes fit in this gun? 10.5oz?

3m that is 9 feet an no that will not fit, 8.5 inch tubes will fit and 10.5 oz will fit, most tubes are 4.5cm and they do fit

is this for asphalt too? And is it easy to use?

Yes they have 10.1 ounce tubes of asphalt repair that will fit and work,very easy to use and if you have problems try looking at utube on caulk gun use 👍
