Use it only under medical supervision.
This product was ordered and received before the first lockdown was declared in India mid-March 2020 in the wake of the ‘COVID-19’ pandemic. ‘Slippery Elm’ is a herb which helps soothe the digestive tract inside of the human body. It does not have the backing of any food or drug association as of now, but is generally seen to be a safe herb when taken in small and appropriate dosages. This product was chosen only when the herb was recommended by a Govt-certified ‘Ayurvedic’ practitioner, to help deal with digestive problems. No health-based product can work ‘magically’ if we subject the body to constant abuse, by way of constantly feeding it with processed foods. Home-cooked food comprising mainly fresh fruits and vegetables, with appropriate intake of grains, pulses, legumes, pseudo-grains, nuts if well-tolerated by the body is what really fuels the body and aids its functioning in each and every way, including in digestion. ‘Slippery Elm’ was chosen only when even a balanced diet was not working by itself in the case of me and my parents. We have always followed good dietary practices, including the ‘Ayurvedic’ guide to food combinations, cooking, intake of water and other fluids and so on. A prolonged period of family distress (not related to ‘COVID-19’) might have negatively affected our digestive tracts. Fortunately, we are now over that period of our lives. Over-reliance on any one branch of medicine is not helpful. Following the best possible practices recommended under each branch of medicine, not contradicting each other, is what is truly needed. Since I and my parents are Indian-vegetarians, and ‘Slippery Elm’ is not a herb widely found in even the best of health supplements manufactured for Indian consumers, this product was chosen. One container has a total of 100 capsules. It has a good support base online, and is ‘Vegan’, thereby safe for our consumption. I and my parents are all different from each other in terms of our body composition as per ‘Ayurveda’: ‘Vata’ (Mom), ‘Pitta’ (I) and ‘Kapha’ (Dad). We were all recommended different dosages of the capsules accordingly. My parents were both asked to take the capsules in-between meal times, and I was specifically asked to take the capsules late-afternoon/early evening, preferably 30 minutes after drinking a cup of ‘Green Tea’, before dinner. Dinner had to be consumed at least an hour after having taken the capsules. The capsules had a slightly ‘soapy’ taste. They are quite thick, and must be taken with a glass or two of plain water. I cannot state if or not the herb did work, as it was only one of a number of measures recommended by the practitioner to address our digestive issues. However, we all did feel more energetic and less ‘bloated’. My Mom was most satisfied with the experience, followed by my Dad and I. This could be, as the herb seemingly works better for those with ‘Vata’-type body constitution than ‘Kapha’ and ‘Pitta’ ones. This is not to question the efficacy of the herb/product, but attributes to its ‘mucus’-like properties, which support ‘Vata’ digestion better than ‘Kapha’ digestion and ‘Pitta’ digestion. Overall, based on our collective experiences, I suggest this product be tried, but only after consultation, and under supervision, of a certified medical practitioner.

Good quality Product!
This product was imported so took time to come, but its worth the wait. I liked the quality & it helps. Slippery Elm helps in coating digestive tract. Best to take every day morning after waking up 2 capsules. Avoid eating/drinking 1 hour after that. Nature's Way is a good brand to trust.

Allergy Causing
I caused me allergic trigger with 2-4 doses. I stopped it then. I googled and found that this product could cause allergy, skin or any other.

Not for people with weak digestion.
I took this product for hyperacidity which happened after stopping proton pump inhibitor. But it didn't worked and even caused more indigestion. It's very heavy to digest. Don't take it if you have a very weak digestion and acidity. Also it didn't formed mucilage when mixed with water so I am skeptical whether this is legit or not.

Quite dangerous, gave me serious heartburn and pain in whole oesophagus
Good to know that it worked for everyone, but not for me tried it for Gerd, pain in esophagus, but it made my pain much much worse, unable to even eat for 24 hours. Would recommend to start with 1 capsule (as i took 2 once in morning then 2 again in water after 8 hours)

This works for after 40 year old woman!
I ordered these because I was experiencing some symptoms of perimenopause and I noticed some of the moisture below the Madon-Dixon line abruptly changing. First, I knew I had to get my hormones under control. While doing that, I started taking this slippery elm bark and the moisture came back as a flood! It did not take long either; I was maybe a week into taking these when i noticed the moisture increase and it had been about a month after and it still works. My first week, I was taking 2 a day and it definitely caused me to have to go #2 more often. I reduced the amount to one pill a day and the moisture is still very present but the #2 isn't as aggressive as it was in that first week. Lastly, and I consider this an added bonus, I feel like I have been less bloated while taking this. I lost a lot of my gut fat taking this. I am not saying it will happen to you but I've noticed this for myself.

Love it
I’ve been using slippery elm bark powder for a few months now, and it’s become one of my go-to herbal remedies. The texture is a bit unusual—kind of mucilaginous when mixed with water—but that’s exactly what makes it so soothing. I mainly take it for occasional heartburn and to calm my stomach, and it works better than most over-the-counter products I’ve tried. It also does wonders for a sore throat; I mix half a teaspoon in warm water or tea with honey, and it coats my throat beautifully. Make sure to stir it quickly because it can clump if you wait too long. If you’re into natural remedies, this is definitely worth keeping in your cabinet. Just be sure to buy from a reputable brand that offers pure, organic slippery elm bark. Pros: Excellent for digestive comfort Soothes sore throats naturally Affordable and lasts a long time Cons: Texture may take some getting used to Needs to be mixed quickly Would definitely repurchase!

These will get you PREGNANT!
These work for me. They help keep me from having digestion inflammation. They also help keep ‘my parts’ moist. I started taking these 2 years ago and got pregnant. I was trying then. I stopped taking them during pregnancy because I am unsure if they are safe during pregnancy. I started taking these again, LAST MONTH in November, and AM ALREADY PREGNANT AGAIN!!! I was not trying this time around. So, moral of the story, these work very well if you want to get pregnant because I believe they help carry the sperm to the egg because it’s so slippery in there, and if you are not looking to get pregnant don’t take these or take extra precautions.
