Arcadian Matte Hair Paste – Medium Hold, Natural Matte Finish – Texturising Hair Styling Paste for Volume & Flexible Control - 113g

Having problematic, combination hair (too oily if not washed enough, too dry if washed too much, not quite straight and not quite curly, thinning in parts but generally very thick and just pretty unmanageable) I have spent far too much money experimenting with far too many products over the years, with nothing giving me the result I want, but I have finally found what I am after with Arcadian Matte Paste. I wear my hear fairly messy and spiky and have it cut and styled in a Tyler Durden-esque haircut (but unfortunately without the looks of Brad Pitt..) This product emulsifies well, goes in the hair with zero tug, does not set rock hard but also gives fantastic hold whilst also keeping your hair soft and pliable. I also for the first time ever only actually have to use a small 5 pence piece sized scoop to give me the desired result. I was mostly experimenting with waxes and clays over the last few years, Hanz de Fuko, Shear Revival, O’Douds, but this beats all. It washes out easily and the tub has a LOT of product in so will last extremely well. I’m talking months and not only 1 month like a lot of ‘high end’ products. I am combining it with Mancave caffeine shampoo and conditioner on a daily basis and getting a 10/10 result every day. No product will last ‘all day’ regardless of what it says but this is the nearest I have achieved. Easily lasts my 9-5 workday and if I’m out after work I will sometimes add the slightest extra mini scoop to top up but it’s really not a necessity. It has a slight citrus scent but is not too overpowering and not even noticeable once in the hair. As other reviewers have said, this may be best for thick hair only, of which I cannot comment, but I highly recommend this product.

Nice medium to strong hold product. Slightly heavy in the hair, reworkable, and doesn't fade or make hair go fluffy. Very easy to scoop out and apply. Washes out easily. Probably too heavy/sticky to use as a pre-styler. Not keen on the smell - smells like a packet of sweets. This doesn't detract from it being a 5* product IMO.

Really strong hold with a dull matte finish. I found this way too strong for my fine hair and i would get a lot of hair pull. Needs a shampoo to remove like lots of products do however if you want pure strong hold then this is for you.

Was hard to find something like this. I wanted a balance between ingredients that are healthy/not detrimental for hair health, and a strong hold. This is stronger than any of the supposed best strong hold products, but with the not-so-good-ingredients. And this is not hard to wash out. I used to have a petrolatum based product and that helped the style - this one uses microcrystalline wax - this is still artificial, but I believe it's healthier, less occlusive alternative. I do use a hair oil combo, that I've always done previously, it does actually help to spread the product easier, but gives a slight added sheen (which I actually prefer) - otherwise it's matte.

I have tried both arcadian clay pomade and there matte paste and I can say that the arcadian matte paste is much better for thick hair, where as the clay pomade is a good product but would be better suited for fine/thin hair. The matte paste has a stronger hold and still remains reworkable where as the clay pomade isn't as strong and iv struggled with a lot of flyaways using it on thick hair but the matte paste holds it all in place all day I apply matte paste to slightly damp hair then give it a quick blowdry but leave it 10% damp and let it air dry so it doesn't dry my thick hair out to much

Used this product before but first time purchasing off Amazon. The product itself is the newer version with updated labelling (matte paste text Is a different colour) so if you order and receive a different label from the photo, it is legit. The paste is fantastic and offers great hold, good scent and excellent usability. Anything from Arcadian is worth looking at. The seller seems to have increased the price on this item since I purchased so it may make sense to shop around

A little goes a long way. Use smaller scoops to minimise any tugging you might otherwise experience. Best used as both a pre and post-styler (i.e., apply a small anount to towel dried hair, blow dry and then use a small amount to finish). Will soften throughout the day and rinses out with water.

Product arrived looking pretty beaten up! Having spent £20 on it I certainly did not expect to receive the product in such poor condition.

Anche se è commercializzata per capelli fini, questa pasta è pesante e molto untuosa quindi vi appiattisce i capelli dopo 20-30 min (specialmente se vivete in posti umidi). Probabilmente ennesima pasta per chi ha la fortuna di avere capelli grossi e facilmente manipolabili. Non do 1 stella perchè il prodotto in se è di buona fattura.

efekt matu chyba jeden z najlepszych, a sporo produktow juz sie przewinelo przez moje wlosy. zapach sredni, sa pasty/pomady lepiej pachnace. nakladanie troche trudniejsze, gdyz pasta jest mocno zbita i poczatkujacy moga miec problemy. wystarczy naprawde mala ilosc dobrze rozgrzanej pasty w dloniach, zawsze lepiej dolozyc pozniej niz przesadzic bo wtedy wyglada to slabo. wlosy plastyczne, latwe do przeczesania w trakcie dnia palcami. chetnie do niej wracam co jakis czas

This hair paste is goated. Nice matte finish with a strong hold for stiff Asian hair. Highly recommend. Great scent.

Habe die Matte Paste in mehreren Reviews bei YouTube entdeckt und war Anfangs eher skeptisch ob es für meine kurzen haare überhaupt das richtige ist. Bisher hatte ich immer die Matte Paste von Mrvck by Paul Mitchell benutzt, womit ich sehr gut klar kam, allerdings der halt besser sein könnte. Ich habe mir die Arcardian Matte Paste bestellt und ich muss sagen es war die beste Entscheidung, es passt einfach alles. Super zu verarbeiten, sehr guter Halt und ein erfrischender Citrusduft. Da viele meckern wegen dem Duft, ja es war auch für mich beim öffnen erst Gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber der Duft ist nicht penetrant und verfliegt auch Recht schnell, weswegen er nicht aufdringlich rüber kommt. Kann die Paste aufjedenfall sehr empfehlen und werde mir sie Definitiv wieder bestellen, wenn sie dann mal alle wird. Sie ist nämlich sehr ergiebig und von daher ist der Preis mehr als gerechtfertigt
