Takes some of the worry out of boating
There is nothing worse than floating on the lake and finding out you have a dead battery when it is time to go home. Hooked this up to my accessory power circuit and know exactly when I need to put a charge back in my batteries

Avoid buying this!
This gauge is not very accurate. After a few days, it will start to lose track of what "full" means. In other words, it will start to give invalid readings, and you must pull the power connector off to "reboot" it in order to get it to reset. Simply turning it off/on by the ACC input will not do the trick. It requires a hard power cycle.

Battery Is Dead
I read the instructions and wired the new meter accordingly, or so I thought. The meter is always connected to the battery, but the display is only on when the power to my control panel is on. After the install, and the purchase of a brand new 12v sealed battery, all was well.I turned on my panel a couple of days later to find the battery meter blinking red; my brand new battery was nearly dead!Apparently, the battery gauge drains the battery, even if the display is turned off? Reading the instructions, I understood them to leave the meter connected to the battery, espescially while charging, so that the meter knew the condition/status of the charge.I like the looks of the meter, and it installed fairly easy into my panel, but I'm now sitting with a dead battery, and wondering if I need to redo my wiring so that the meter is only connected while being displayed or charging the battery?

Nice range but too many bars are green
For some reason the manufacturer decided to make about 75% of the bars green on this gauge. You don't start seeing yellow until the battery is nearly dead. With the bars all so close together, you have to really look close to determine which bar is lit, since only one bar is lit up at a time regardless of the battery condition.
