Great bit of kit.
So, if you accept that this isn’t going to be felling General Sherman for you, you should find it is a great bit of kit. It’ll take down boughs and trunks of decent girth, and you get a good number of cuts from the 2.5 amp hour battery supplied. With care, you’ll be able to deal with larger diameters than claimed, but be sensible with it. Even though there is minimal kick back given the small bar and the tip protector, with a bit of experience and confidence you can be felling larger sized trees than you might expect - and there’s the risk for the amateur… Benefits - lightweight, easy to use, more powerful than expected, battery life Cons - none. I cleared a very large area of mature rhododendrons in a day with no problems (albeit with several batteries as I’ve bought into the Bosch 18v ecosystem)

Not the most powerful but a good little electric chainsaw
If you want a small fairly light chainsaw - this does the job. It’s not the most powerful, but as long as you use it within its limits it does the job well. Once I got the hang of using the thing on the end of the blade to grip the wood it was much more effective.

Blade not coming off
I liked the beast. However after fitting in the chain for just check up, I realised it is not the easiest to remove. There are no instructions in the manual, nor any reviews on the Internet. Despite fully slacking the chain, the main metal blade has decided not to come off the screw mount. And no instructions how to do it. What a shame Further to above. Finally it came off. As could find no reason of it coming off, so I put the gloves on, tried to pull it hard and it came off. So point is that you need to put FORCE on it with gloves on without a fear of damage and it comes off. May be it could help others like me trying not to damage the saw while replacing the chain.

Lightweight.
Great, lightweight and quick charging. Makes lightwork of smaller branches. Good for the price.

It’s a pruning chainsaw. If that’s what you want, it’s brilliant
This chainsaw will easily cut through branches up to about 4 inches in diameter. If that’s what you want, it’s a brilliant choice. The fact that it’s small makes it easy to manoeuvre, and this is where it beats bigger chainsaws hands down. It comes supplied with enough oil to fill the reservoir once, but it’s a good idea to buy more oil at the time of purchase so you don’t get stuck when the original supply runs out. Being a chainsaw newbie, I didn’t originally realise the importance of using the grippers: the main one at the base of the chainsaw, and the smaller one at the far end of the chainsaw. Using these makes all the difference. I’m very happy with my purchase

Love it
I am a woman in my 60’s, it’s light and easy to use. I sharpen the chain and clean it every time I use it and am very pleased with it. I’ve bought a second battery as the one supplied does only last for 20 minutes to half an hour but is able to cope with all the branches and small logs to keep me supplied with firewood .Obviously not designed for heavy duty but suits me fine.

Typical Bosch
Great little chainsaw, a good addition to my Bosch cordless tool collection, which all use the same battery type. I have several batteries and can have a spare available when needed, so battery life is not really an issue for me. Having said that, I have yet to deplete a battery when using this saw from a full charge.
