Doesn't the air pressed go up the vent pipe instead of the clog (if the clog is past the split to the vent)?

Yes. You need to block the vent to avoid the pressure and water/muck coming out through the vent.

does it come with the lithium battery?

Yes, it comes with 1 battery. I ordered a couple of 2nd party additional batteries from Amazon, just in case.

Looking for plumber. hvac guy here. does it work well? we have drainlines we clean. i use no2 or co2.

Look for the balloon type. Granted this can get the job done, but it just a burst. Use the one that hooks up yo a garden hose that like a balloon. It'll be better
