Definitely works!
I have been using this product for almost two weeks now and my skin has been clearing up tremendously! I bought this reading that it helped a lot of people with their Perioral Dermatitis, and although I have not been diagnosed, I'm positive that is the problem that I have had under my nose and around my mouth and chin for a couple months now.I use this about twice a day, once in the morning (I also pair it with Paula's Choice cleanser and moisturizer) and then I use this product by itself before I go to bed and don't put anything on my face. The first couple days of using the Spectro Jel Cleanser, my skin seemed to get worse before it got better, which I've read happens with PD. It became very red and seemed to dry out my problem areas. About a week later my bumps are no longer raised and skin is not as dry! I hope it only gets better from here and clears up my skin completely! Thank you so much other reviewers for suggesting a product that works!

good for PO dermatitis
I've been using this stuff for 3 months now, so I feel like I have a good idea of how it works. I got spectro jel because I had heard that it may be effective for perioral dermatitis. Since using this product, I have yet to have a flare up of dermatitis. Now, spectro jel doesn't say that this product is even for perioral derm, but I think it works because it is very gentle, nonfoaming, and contains NO sodium laureth sulfate. Even cetaphil has SLS. If you have a skin irritation, the number one thing is to stop using products with SLS.Anyway, if you are suffering with perioral derm, you should give this product a try. Even though my problem has disappeared, I reordered because I like it as a basic cleanser.the only drawback is it smells a bit funny, but that just means there are no fragrances and what your smelling is the surfactants and other stuff in it rather than a masking perfume.

Not great
I bought this cleanser having high hopes for it to get rid of my PD. I used it for 3 weeks and the redness never subsided. It did get rid of my pimples on my forehead but it didn’t improve my PD. Disappointed.

Sensitive skin
Received the product yesterday in good form.As mentioned, by other reviewers, it’s smelly. The main culprit for the chemical smell is the sulfur compound used in Spectro 🇨🇦 to combat acne-causing bacteria; while effective, sulfur can have a distinct, somewhat unpleasant odor. (From google.)Not sure I can manage the smell but at least I know now it’s not gone off. I have peri oral dermatitis and prone to cystic acne. Not the best gut microbiome which doesn’t help. I’ll give it a go though.

this seemed to be the best. I wasn't too hopeful because I have tried ...
This product is a game changer. I posted pictures of before and after. I don't even know where to start. I started to get this rash around my mouth. Turns out it was perioral dermatitis. I went to the dermatologist and he put me on antibiotics. While I was on antibiotic, I cleaned up my diet following an anti inflammatory diet since that is what my doctor told me the antibiotics do. I noticed a big change after being on them 2 weeks and by the end of the 6 weeks I was completely clear. When I began the antibiotics, I did lots of internet research to find a new cleanser. After reading a lot of reviews, this seemed to be the best. I wasn't too hopeful because I have tried more products than I can remember. From day 1, I noticed a difference but kept wondering if once I went off of the antibiotics, would it make a difference. About a week after finishing my medication, a red dot appeared overnight. UGGGG!!!! Then if filled with fluid so it looks similar to a raised white head within hours. We were in the middle of a blizzard so my doctors office was closed. I decided to put a dab of Spectro on a cotton swab and just leave it on the spot after washing with it in the morning. I repeated this just before bed. When I woke up the next morning it was completely gone...COMPLETELY! No sign that it was ever there. This is my washing routine (and I don't ever scrub anymore). I use it in the morning and evening. I wash my face with warm water then pump 2 pumps on to my fingertips and put it directly on my face (do not dilute!) It is a clears watery gel consistency that will disappear if you dilute. I message it into my face for about a minute then add warm water to rinse it off and pat dry. I have found that Burt's Bees Sensitive Night Cream works best for me in the morning and night. Not greasy at all and doesn't bring on the Perioral Dermatitis. PLEEEEEASE do not discontinue this product!!!!!

No idea whether I received the real thing
The lid was partway unscrewed and leaking; pump does not work . . It smells like the reviews’ descriptions (in a not-good way) . . I wonder if it was stored in too-hot conditions . . First time buyer, so I just don’t know

Did not do ANYTHING for my perioral dermatitis.

Does its job
Works well in disinfecting and prepping skin. Used this to heal a tattoo and had zero problems. Not a fan of the extremely sanitized smell but it was money well spent !
