Roxil: Silicone Wood Protector is a water-based liquid silicone emulsion used to protect wood. The silicone waterproofs the surface and protects the wood from the unwanted effects of moisture, which can lead to rot and decay. Roxil: Silicone Wood Protector can be applied with brush or spray. Preparation: Make sure wood is clean and dry before application. Shake well before use. Application: Apply by brushing or spraying. Two coats should be applied for optimal coverage, the second layer should be applied while the first layer is still wet, usually within 30 minutes. After application, the silicone penetrates into the wood and form a water-repellent barrier. Full water repellency will develop over a period of one month. Not applicable if rain is forecast. Cleaning: clean brushes or sprayer with water after use. Roxil: Silicone Wood Protector is recommended for use on softwood, including water-sensitive species such as pine.
