Great Value for Low Cost
Purchased the FX2200LCD UPS for my system because of the recent power outages due to recent storms. The best feature is 1200 Watts of backup power!Set the UPS up 04-19-2019 then installed the management software. The software is Seriously flawed as it directly incorporates Java jre 6 update 45 (version 6.0.450.6) into the management software instead of checking for and linking to the installed version of Java. This I consider a security risk as it is a highly vulnerable and discontinued version of Java. The Java I have installed on my system is jre 8 Update 202 64-bit (version 8.0.2020.8) (Edit - As of 4/22/2019 the current Java edition is jre 8 211 (version 8.0.2110.12)So I fully uninstalled the management software from my system and contacted the company about this, saying Why would you even consider using something that is so out of date as to be a high security risk? I would ask that you bring the software up-to-date and remove direct integration of java into the software using instead a path to the installed version. The company responded with:Good day XXXXXXXXX,Is a pleasure to meet you today. We're sorry for the inconvinience, at this moment we're working on a new software update that going to replace this old one. This could be ready in a couple of months, we'll keep you posted with the new version.ErickForza T2 Tech

Beautiful if you like modding. Useless if you don't.
I've decided to write this review to help all the other poor souls that are suffering with the untolerable jet engine FAN noise that this UPS outputs when on Battery and also on AVR mode (my situation).Curious that this company is promoting this product for games... yeah right!.If you have good current you won't have these problems except for when you loose power but if you have a poor line (like me) that goes almost all the time below 110 you'll hear this bad boy scream like a jet engine and you will be compelled to either return this UPS or throw it out to the garbage.Well, good news for people that likes to get their hands dirty and mod this sucker. You can turn this UPS into a beautiful performer with even better reponse than before, much less heat and dead silent with a simple mod that involves putting a Noctua A12x25 12V PWM FAN with the low-voltage extension. The trick is to get away with the horrible lousy hideous piece of crap that is the default FAN, just disconnect it for good. Then you need to remove the "white connector" for the FAN on the board, so you get only the pins, do this carefully, it's not glued or anything so it will come out easily. Then you need to connect the the black cable 4pin header to the outer edge (make coincide the red cable with the "yellow" cable on the Noctua and the Black with the Black.Once connected you can draw a hole in either left or right side (both sides supports a full 120mm fan without any problems, do this to the base part, leaving the top part (which holds the circuit PCB intact). I drew the hole with a little saw and a cable clamp but you can do the hole with pretty much anything since the plastic is so thin. You can use the 2 top holes for the FAN with the included vibration dumpeners that comes with Noctua and hold the base with 2 screws (also included with the Noctua fan). The result is in the picture. I've also used the Low-Power adapter that comes with this same Noctua FAN since the output power for this FAN is way higher than the FAN that comes with the UPS so what we want is silence. After the mod the UPS is now dead silent, no matter the mode. When without power I can now hear the alternator. Since I have the PC on my right and the UPS on me left, I've decided to put the fan on the left side to hear it even less.At 1 meter distance the FAN is completely dead silent. This UPS has turned now from a piece of garbage to a beautiful UPS, and one of the most silent (if not the most silent) of them all, with a simple mod and of course, Noctua Technology. The mod is super easy to do and can be done to any UPS on the market, but this particular model is ideal since it has tons of space on the side to apply a 120mm FAN.Now we can all demand UPS manufacturers that stop providing this bullshit FAN solutions and offer things like THIS for us, gamers and silent lovers.
