The moulds worked fine. Some of the dough did stick to them and as a result a few of the rings fell apart, but most of it was fine. Next time I will coat the moulds with oil just to be sure that nothing sticks to them. The recipe worked well too, just the icing that I made used a lot more powdered sugar than mentioned in the recipe (it would have been too thin otherwise). For faster preparation you can replace the almonds with almond flour and there are plenty of alternative recipes available online.

Pans are great - the almond cookie/cake recipe? Not so much. We made a trial run using the recipe included; very difficult dough to work with, cookies broke coming out of the moulds, and became hard as rocks in a day. (As a note, this was not our first rodeo baking with almonds - we make macarons and marzipan desserts often). Attempt #2, we used our tried-true sugar cookie recipe - worked at charm! Rolling the dough out to be precise for each ring is a challenge, but we had far less breakage than with the first recipe, AND it was delicious. We also went with buttercream icing because yum. Traditional Kransekake? No. But perfect for us.

Easy to use and worked well for this novice baker. I didn’t have time to blanch and grind my own almonds so I used a different recipe than included. However I buttered each pan and put corn meal on it and no cookie got stuck. I also put the pans on a sheet pan with parchment paper for easy removal from the oven. A new family tradition!

Great product. Would have given 5 stars,but it unfortunately arrived damaged. Box was gouged and largest ring pan was crimped, which would have affected ring shape of dough. I would have returned, but needed to use right away. My husband was able to use pliers to adjust it enough to use. I’m just worried that spot will eventually rust since the nonstick surface was affected by the damage.

We love marzipan, so decided to make our first kransekake last holiday season. These molds made it very easy to do. No measuring, just fill the rings. The result is beautifully proportioned and the finished cake inspires with many ideas for decoration. Can’t love these little pans enough. Kransekake is now a holiday tradition in our home. Or maybe just because…

One of my best Amazon buys. It came just in time for Christmas and we were able to make several ‘kranskekaker’ to give out to friends.The dough is very easy toprepare (a recipe is included in the package) and the tower is easy to assemble after the rings have been baked to perfection with the kransekake molds.
