Handy little product
Nice, handy little product. No fuss to install. Exactly as per description. The luminosity is not enough to light up a whole (small) room, but it does the job for emergency tasks.

Great idea, drinks power
I bought two - the product is great with the Day size battery. But it is drinking power- so I am disappointed.

interior water problem
after having some of these up or a few months, water has collected in the interior. the electronics are positioned near the face, which is where the water collects (the face plate, with the light and motion detector, is pointed down). the faceplate pointed down orientation is necessary and causes the unit to eventually quit working as water accumulates at the faceplate. the water appears to come from collected humidity condensation on the batteries, although rain leakage is possible around the screw in face plate assembly that gives access to the batteries. at this price point it is almost impossible to manufacture a unit that is air tight. It is maybe water tight (rain).i have not found another product of this type so i will attempt to combat this problem. my approach is to put a strip of tape (black duct tape for brown units and foil tape for white units) around the seam where the unit screws together (allowing battery access) and to put a thin bead of clear exterior caulk around both where the motion sensor and light protrude through holes in the face plate.btw - because the batteries have significant mass, they store the cool nighttime temperature. that cooler temperature will condense daytime humidity. when it is time to put new batteries in it you will need to remove the screw on portion, so be sure you use something to seal it that will not impede unscrewing it so you can change batteries later.they detect the motion of even small animals, moving fast because the same animals moving slow don't trigger the light. since i have deer, raccoons and squirrels around here i have to be careful where i aim the units.so far the batteries seem to last over a year in the most frequently used lights but realize that alkaline batteries do not work well in the cold and that the battery electrolyte uses water, which can freeze if it gets cold enough long enough (like -10F for 4 or 5 days.)if you do not want to replace batteries often do not place these lights near pedestrian paths or road traffic, which activate them frequently. alkaline batteries have about a 10 year life when unused.sometimes they come with aluminum mounting screws and sometimes with steel mounting screws. they used to come with steel screws all the time. i guess the change is intended to help hold down the price but doing this may reflect on other things the manufacturer does to keep cost down. anyway, the aluminum screws can be used but with caution. if you use an electric drill be careful when tightening them down because they use soft aluminum so tightening them can result in twisting the heads off.if you twist off the head you can put another screw in the same mounting hole if you angle the screw to the side so the prior screw won't get in the way. the best way to deal with twisting heads off is to use the electric drill to drive the screw most of the way and use a manual screwdriver to finish screwing it in (you can still twist off the head if you tighten it too much). if you have some old short steel screws that have coarse threads use those.i will update this review when the lights have been outside for months and i can see whether my efforts to combat interior water collection worked.update 10/10/19just checked some of the units that i sealed so they were air tight (see above). they were bone dry after going through the summer outdoors. tomorrow starts cold temps here in colorado so i will leave them mounted outside to see if they continue to be dry.

Wow, this little thing lights up my whole patio
Ths spring I had an issue (I could write a book--and I might, I'm a writer) with a cluster of skunks living under my den. They found their way in through a flaw in the foundation and apparently wintered there. When they started coming and going I noticed them and I just didn't want them living there. I thought aiming a motion light at the hole where they were coming and going would do two things: 1) alert me when they were on the move so I could see how many there were and if they were going in the traps (I hired a trapper to catch them) and 2) perhaps discourage them from going in and out (it didn't), hopeful they'd leave on their own.Anyway, this little Mr. Beams MB330 Wireless LED Spotlight took just a few mins to load with batteries and another few mins to screw to my den wall and wow, it really is bright for a little light and pretty much lights up my whole 15' square patio area. Didn't help me with the skunks much (the trapper did a good job though and he got rid of them before they started having babies!) but it's nice to have a light out there anyway--I've since re-aimed it a bit. I've decided that this is a much simpler way to set up motion lights around my property than hiring an electrician (sorry guys).

Super easy install, very reliable product
I know nothing of electrical wiring and neither does my roommate so when we wanted a spotlight for when we get home late we started looking at wireless options. Mr. Beams was the best reviewed product as well as very reasonably priced so we decided on this one.1. Installation: Incredibly easy. You basically just screw it in to wherever you want it and it's ready to go.2. Weatherproof: We live in Michigan which just saw the coldest and snowiest winter since 1863. It was horrible. But this spotlight worked all winter. So the weatherproof option has been fully tested and I can say for certain that it works.3. Battery Life: The product description states that you can get up to 1800 activations on a single set of batteries. I haven't counted the activations but I can state that we've been using the same set of batteries for 7 months now and the lights are still activating with no problems.4. Brightness: The LED lights provide the very bright, harsh white light that LEDs are known for. I'm not a huge fan of LED but it is very energy effiecient and bright. The way we've angled the motion sensor light the LED light casts a light of approximately 10-12 feet across and about 15-20 feet outward. It's a decent sized light, enough to illuminate the sidewalk when approaching the house.5. Motion Sensor: Honestly, I'm really impressed with the motion sensor capabilities on this light. It is sensitive enough to activate the light when coming or leaving the house at night while not triggering an activation for any little critter that runs across the yard during the night.Overall, for $20 I really don't think you can get a better motion-sensor light. It is durable, reliable, affordable, and efficient.

2 years outside not a single problem
Very simple to install, batteries last forever, good range of detection at night, and still going strong after 2 years attached to the side of an exposed wooden wall. It’s not the brightest light and the tighteners holding it in position (the head of the light not the body) have gotten a little loose over time but nothing major. I use it to light up a double driveway size width (x2 lengthwise) and it illuminates that size area just fine
