Shentec 3000mAh 12V Battery Compatible with Dremel 8200 8220 8300

My OEM battery has gotten to where it won't hold a charge, so I needed something. I decided to take a chance on this alternative brand. Price was good and with Amazon's return policy I didn't have much to lose. Several months in now and it's holding up well. I think it has better capacity than the OEM.

Imagine my frustration when I retrieved my cordless Dremel tool from my toolbox only to find that I had put it away without its battery. Not surprisingly, its charger wasn't in in the Dremel bag left in my toolbox either. I looked everywhere for that battery and resigned myself to ordering a replacement battery AND charger from Amazon. It arrived via Prime on schedule and as expected, it was a perfect match. I'm thrilled with my purchase, it's price and its performance. You can't go wrong with this replacement unit for your Dremel.

I was nervous to use a third party battery. This battery flawlessly charged in the original OEM charger. It never got hot and performs perfectly in the tool. The fit is snug and just as good as the original. I was nervous for nothing! I may buy another as a spare.

Fit properly, and price was right, but capacity is somewhat low. I expected a little more use before recharging. I had to put my project aside to recharge the battery.

It fit my Dremel like the original. It appears to run for longer than the original, which makes sense having a higher milli-AmpHour rating. I only regret not getting two of these when I ordered because when doing a long project running at high-speed, I do tend to run through this battery + the old original Dremel battery before one of them can recharge fully. I'll probably order another eventually, but did finish the intense project I bought this one for.

I use and abuse my Dremel often. It was purchased about 6 years ago and I was never all that happy with the the original battery life. This has degraded more over time as is common with Lithium ion batteries so I decided to replace it. Out of the box, this has performed well with substantially improved battery battery life. Since this is new at this point I can't make any claims about it's durability, however I am very pleased with it so far. For $20 US, I think it's an excellent value.
