Applications: Metal Clad Cable may be used for branch, feeder and service for distribution in commercial, industrial, and multi-residential construction. They are suitable for installation in motion picture studios, theaters, and places of assembly (100 people or more) per NEC Articles 230.43, 300.22(C), 330, 396, 518, 520, 530 and 645. These cables may be installed in approved raceways and as open runs of cable on a messenger. They may be installed exposed, concealed or in cable tray and may be run in spaces used for environmental air in accordance with NEC Article 300.22(C) ONLY. Construction: Solid conductors and the wires for stranded conductors are soft annealed copper to ASTM B3. PVC/Nylon type THHN insulation in accordance to UL 83, flame resistant, meeting UL VW-1. Bare copper ground wire, sized in accordance with NEC and UL, with green THHN insulation. Conductors are cabled with grounding wires. A marker tape/core protection tape combination assembles the core in an essentially round configuration. Interlocking galvanized steel tape armor applied directly over the core. flame test. Works great
I over killed with the length for what I was needing so I havent measured how much wire was in the spoil.I installed a lvl2 220V charger 40A and worked just fine, no excessive heat instead warms as normal for 40A passing thru, you expecting some heat is a lot of Amps and is perfectly normal.Recommended.

Great price, quick delivery and just what we needed for our new welder outlet.
We got a new 220V welder and needed to drop in a 60amp circuit for it in the garage. The local big box stores had their copper locked up behind Fort Knox and after 20 minutes of waiting for assistance we bailed and checked out Amazon.This wire cheaper and far easier to get our hands on and is well made MC cable.

Exactly what I was expecting but the metal cladding is only 1/2”, not 3/4 as stated in the description. The 1/2” is just fine with me though. I ordered 30’ and received about 30.6’. Would but again if needed.

The Product Is As Advertised
After thoroughly reading the reviews before purchasing this wire, I noticed that more than one customer had received shorter than ordered lengths. With few options available, I ordered 50ft for my new ARC Welder. Once delivered, I stretched it out on the floor and measured 50 ft of shield. The copper was recessed around 2 inches at both ends. I received 49.75 feet of wire and I can live with that. I would have given 5 stars if the seller had delivered 50 or 50.1 inches of copper. FYI, the price of copper just reached an all time high yesterday.
