Clubman Reserve Whiskey Woods Aftershave for Men, Refreshing Lotion, 6 oz

Over the years I have purchased most of the Pinaud after shave product line. Clubman, Musk, Vanilla, Bay Rum, Reserve, and now Reserve Whisky Woods. This is the best out of all of them. Very smooth scent that lays nicely on my skin. Burn is nominal after a shave. Notes of oak, leather, tobacco. Very subtle and pleasant smell during the day. This is a great daily driver for after shave. I would wear this on a date with me lady.

Great Barber shop smell. Works well to prevent razor burn or ingrown hairs.

Absolutely love this scent and my girl loves it too! Wish it came in a larger size!

Great scent, feels great on the face (or head, if you shave it like me). First thing that came to mind is my Grandpa when I tried this, he always smelled like he just walked out of the barber shop. The only hit I can give it is that around lunch time I need to hit it with another splash to get through the rest of the day smelling good. Make it last all day and that's an automatic 5 stars from me. Highly recommended!

Finally, a Clubman product that deserves the "Special Reserve" (SR) showing on the bottle!!!The original special reserve is the only aftershave I have EVER thrown out. Its use was deeply frowned upon for use around the house. People who oftentimes compliment me on aftershave choices were keeping a respectful distance. It's not-so-subtle blend of caked urinal (not urinal cakes) and death actually caused the pets to hover, but I'm pretty sure they thought there was a carcass in it for them. I smelled incontinent. It had to be kept in a ziplock because it stank up the bathroom and it's power was unrelenting. When worn, it was like getting punched in the nose everytime the breeze shifted or the AC kicked on. I have moved to the South where it is hot and humid and I can't even describe the horrors of heating this stuff up. I thought there might be something to the "pat down", but I only made it through a couple of days, sitting in my shame. If I'm being honest, it made me hyper self-conscious.Terrible.Now that the venting is over, other Clubman products I DO like include the original (classic, barbershop) and the citrus musk (a little too lemon/lime cleaner at first but settles down beautifully and smells great on hot days). When I opened this one, I caught what I thought was a whiff of the original SR, and thought, "fool me twice...", but was completely wrong. Best guess is that it was stored within a mile of the SR and death came calling. It has a leather, tobacco and almost minty smell which I believe is the "bergamot" they describe, but wonderfully blended and balanced. The whiskey is found more in the dry down and is warm and inviting, with notes of pepper.Throughout the evening, I would catch slight notes here and there, but was not overpowered as some Clubman products can be. Definitely worth a buy and am excited for the Gin one that's on its way!

My husband love this. Smells amazing

I'm not a practiced aftershave reviewer, so I can't compare scents very well to base ingredients. I do have quite a bit of experience with Pinaud Clubman scents, so I feel like I have a good understanding of how Whiskey Woods falls into the brand's lineup. For me, Whiskey Woods has at two phases as it warms to the skin and lingers. The smell from the bottle is smokey and muted. As you apply, the smokey liquor smell is moderately heavy with just a bit of sharpness. For me, that effect wears off within 15 minutes. At that point, it maintains a masculine effect with faint smokiness, but mellow sweet (fruity?) powdery scent. To my untrained aftershave senses, it seems to lean towards the powdery aspect of an old spice for several hours. A light splash doesn't last more than 4 hours for me. Heavy splashes will last all day.I find it to be a good middle ground between regular Clubman and Special Reserve. If you didn't like how heavy handed Special Reserve is, but want something heavier than regular Clubman, this might be what you're looking for. This scent is very masculine. Although it hasn't been around very long, it does not have any resemblance to modern "sporty" (i.e. very sweet, aqua) scents you get with so many colognes. This is old-fashioned and a great variation on classic Clubman scents. It's awesome to see Pinaud introduce a scent that embodies old-fashioned qualities in a modern way.

I went through four stages of acceptance and denial with this scent.1. While still In the bottle, it had a fairly attractive scent wafting out.2. When actually splashing on, my initial reaction to the scent as it hit my skin was that is was AWFUL!3. After a few moments, I seemed to think it might have some potential. I thought it was rather good.4. An hour or two later later, I then came to realize, it's not all that great. And, I think I may know why. Whiskey Woods is a bit too sweet and contains a slight powder note. I don't really care for this kind of scent. It reminds me of Aqua Velva Ice Sport (not to be confused with Ice Blue). Ice Sport is also sweet and powdery. Not at all to my liking. (Both Whisky Woods and Aqua Velva Ice Sport remind me of a ladies' cosmetics counter. This would be back in the days when we had large, luxurious department stores. I was just a kid of five or six.)So, I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Whisky Woods after only one use. It MAY grow on me (I have my doubts). For now, I'm going to set it aside and perhaps come back to it later. It's not the masculine sent I was hoping it would be.Like other reviewers have noted, Whiskey Woods is nothing like the original Pinaud after shave. The original is terrific stuff! From my first use, I absolutely fell in love with it! Number two (so far) in the Clubman line-up is Virgin Island Bay Rum! Another really terrific masculine scent! Love it!Whisky Woods, so far, for me, is just okay. I was expecting more and it fell short.I'll give it three stars because, if you like sweet and powdery, it may be for you.

A qualidade da embalagem é o pior deste Aftershave, que tem uma boa variadade de aromas. A deste este também corresponde ao ao indicado. O Aftershave é equilibrado e os seus componentes resultam bem no modo como atuam na pele. A quantidade, qualidade e preço ajudam bem a superar a embalagem. Se se tem que poupar despesa num produto como estes, concordo que seja na embalagem.

After much research this brand kept coming up as an old school smell, so ive given it a try and i have read the other reviews and people seemed to more worried about the bottle ! You dont wear the bottle but you sure as hell wear the lotion, this whiskey and woods is what i can only describe like sitting at a poker table in the mid west surrounded by fine collard gentlemen with cigars and whiskey playing poker, the smell is connoisseur and long lasting, im 8 hours in and i can still smell on myself so buy it 💵 !

Riecht sehr gut

When I was a kid, I got my first haircut at an old school barber shop called Baffo's on Lakeshore Road in Mississauga, Ontario and Clubman Whiskey Woods is like walking into that place. It's absolutely amazing. If you're looking for that classy, old school barber shop scent that has staying power, this is it.

Impeccable!
