How many yards in a skein?

Each skein is 100g/219 yards per skein

how many skeins would I need for a scarf?

It depends on the length and width you want the scarf to be. Also, how tight or loose you knit is also a factor. The best thing to do is to find the pattern first and then order the number of skeins the pattern calls for. Thank You Alpaca Direct

Is the yarn the same color as the first picture? I like that it’s blue, but rainbow at the same time.

Yes, the yarn is definitely blue, but it has a subtle fleck of colors in it as well. Ir is really pretty. Tara Alpaca Direct
