Keeps ducks off of dock
We duct taped the product into low ceramic bowls, and filled with rocks, so they would be low to the dock. Our regular dock sitting ducks hide them with suspicion and have not been on the dock since. it is early days now, we will see how they were going forward. Our idea with the ceramic bowls was so we could move them around the dock as needed. Other items we have used, such as owl statues, etc.. Have not worked. In fact, the ducks climb to the dock and sleep right next to them. So far we are pleased, and the โspidersโ look interesting on the dock.

I've had to repair them already
I bought 3 to guard my spa which is attached to my pool. These are extremely expensive as are most pest repellants. I spent $150ish on the three and found that they want to sell me a base to keep them from falling over; or I can drill holes in the lovely porcelain tiles or buy their very expensive stands which are large and not pretty. The wind lands them in my pool often enough, but they seem to discourage the pigeons from landing and pooping in my pool. Mind you, 2 of the 3 broke when they fell into the water... it's water! I had to glue them back together. I had to take them apart to do it. Once apart, they are a great challenge to get back together. I finally glued each wire into it's lovely slot and screwed on the top. Wha-la! Fixed! I also attached them to my lovely porcelain tiles with my hot glue gun. My state has mighty windstorms, not gentle ones. Also, I think the pigeons may have learned how to dunk them. They're not too bright, but they are super determined! I'd have sent them back except they do seem to be the only thing I've found that repels very large thirsty pigeons. (We also put a birdbath in the front yard to distract them from the pool).

Works well
I have this on my boat and it seems to be doing a good job keeping the birds away...it doesn't seem to spin in the breeze very freely but honestly, as long as it keeps the birds away I don't care if it spins or not. Based on my experience so far, I would recommend.
