Are they hard like sweets or are they rubbery?

Tricky one. They start off pretty firm but get softer and more chewy. They are strong, because they have a job to do looking after the voice/throat. I'm a singer and swear by them.

They really do help when you have a cough in a theatre/cinema but I find them not best for clearing catarrh
