Right Chair for the Right Person
I have been using this chair daily for 1.5 months mostly indoors. I was able to compare it with two other folding chairs, both more expensive and heavier. The Zurcheel is right for anyone who can sit uncramped in an arm chair with 17โ seat width. Seat height is 19โ above the floor. For a higher position you can add one or two 2โ foam exercise pads. They are inexpensive and easily found on the internet. The narrow chair of the Zurcheel makes it MUCH EASIER to navigate through door- ways. It is also easy to change between power and manual modes, and to defeat or restore the beep-beep-beep alarm that sounds when you drive in reverse gear. For each action you push a button and a lit diode confirms the action.. These actions are much more cumbersome in the two comparison chairs. The Zurcheel chair has both electric and hand brakes, while the comparison chairs have only electric. I am sure that the electric brakes are adequate, but I find it reassuring to have both, and I do use both. Wheelchair brands usually emphasize the mileage range of their models in advertise- ments. I think it more useful to determine the number of hours needed to recharge the batteries fully after a typical period since the last charge. In this case I had not charged in 3 days of mild use. The charge display has 3 of its 5 diodes lit, indicating about 50% charge. It took 4 hrs, 15 mins to bring it back to full charge. It was surprising to me to find that the Zurcheel chair has so many appealing features. It is a very good chair and a very good value, but not perfect. It can be underpowered on carpet, especially in rooms with thicker carpet. When I encounter this I simply switch to a higher gear, problem solved.

Portable wheelchair
Good wheelchair and it was easy for my elderly mom to learn to use. The best part is that itโs portable and light making it easier for her to be mobile whenever she wants. Customer service is pretty good - we were having issues with the device and got some help, too.

Recommend
The wheelchair arrived in great condition except the battery charger did not work. Product support asked for videos of how I was going about using the charger. Customer service was prompt to send another charger with video on proper charging. (The instruction booklet was a little confusing.). I charged it and took my sister out for groceries and the chair ran down only a few minutes later. I determined that I may not be charging correctly so had a knowledgeable family member to evaluate it. The new charger was not working properly. I contacted Customer Support and they were not able to send a charger because their stockpile of chargers was gone. My brother examined the charger and found that it was shorting out but was able to get the batteries to charge after tapping it. Since that time I have been able to charge the batteries and take my sister out and about with confidence. Knowing what I know now I would recommend this chair because it is easy to operate and has a smooth ride. My sister feels good to know it is dependable. Customer support is prompt to answer and helpful. Melanie H.

Light weight and easy to put in and out of car.
This wheelchair has been a godsend for me! It's easy to fold and travel with and functions very well I did have a slight issue with the nuts getting loose on one of the anti-tip wheels but it was an easy fix.

Unusable Due to Defective Irreplaceable Battery.
The wheelchair is fine but one of the batteries to power it came cracked. I want to return the cracked one in exchange for one that might not blow up with repeated charging but there is no way to contact the seller for one that either I or the bank can find. Consequently I have not used the chair except for short trial runs. In other words this was a tremendous waste of money.

Works well, but the arms are too short.
I bought this for my dad. He has Parkinson's. Some days, he can walk well, others, he can't. This chair works well. It's compact size makes it a good fit for his small apartment and narrow walls in the assisted living facility. The only downside is that the arms are too short, and they're flexible, so if he happens to put his hand on the control arm to help himself up, it causes the arm to bend. Also, the nut and bolt that holds the bottom bracket of one of the arms fell out, even though it never gets folded. Update: The durability of this chair leaves a lot to be desired. The housing on the control keeps breaking where it mounts onto the control arm. The first time, I could move the screw that holds it on to one of the other mounts. Now, I'm hoping I can duct tape it back together. Update #2: The arm that the control is on won't lock into place, so the arm is bent and won't straighten out. This puts the control down by his knee. He has injured himself when he sat down and got his leg stuck on the control knob. Also, the rubber control arm cover won't stay on. I've tried silicone tape and gel glue, but neither would hold it. The wheels aren't durable. Dad has had this less than a year and the tread is gone, so the wheels are bald. The manual mode doesn't work. Even when the light is on that it should be in manual mode, it feels like you're fighting the gears to push it.

Itโs comfortable and fun to drive.
I love it. I am on oxygen and canโt walk much without my oxygen level dropping too low. It is a little heavy and bulky so I have to have help loading and unloading it.
