Why is the white one so much more cheaper than the black one? Is there an issue?

I have the black one, so I don't know. Check that they are identical models. This model 3526TB has a timer, which allows automatic shut off. Possibly the white one does not?

What type of plastic is used in the trays? Is it Eastman Triton, because there are concerns about that as a replacement for plastic with BPA?

I think this would be a good question to ask of Excalibur directly.The trays on my 5 year old machine may be different from what they are producing now, or even what they produced a year ago. I would ask Excalibur in relation to serial number/production-date so you can find exactly what you are looking for (or not looking for).

can you please verify the wattage on model number 3526TB because on the excalibur website it comes up as 440 watts, your product says 400 watts.Thanks
