Quite the find I'll say ! Solid, squat, mostly muted aesthetic with just the slightest touch of vermilion, phenomenal battery life, excellent form factor, and rugged build. This LG xboom bounce does not disappoint in the looks department and excels at what it does : playing beautiful sounds crystal clear. The lights are a nice touch, the AI is a bit loud in its testing mode ( i blame mister will.i.am ) but settles into the dimensions and feel of the room quickly enough. And there's a rugged black belt around its waist - so i guess .. it knows kung fu ? I kid, i kid, its ultra portable. (Hope to test out the auracast sometime soon)

This is for the normal, non-core, model. I've had a hard time trying to find out the differences between the normal and core models. Internet says the drivers are different sizes, but I can not confirm. Build quality is good. All the plastics feel solid and the soft rubberized texture feels pleasant to the touch. The elastic strap is shorter than I expected. Not long enough to carry it like a cross body bag. Good enough to use as a carrying strap or to hold a phone against the back. The sound quality is better that expected. The bass reflex "ports" on top provide a noticeable and punchy bass. Not a fan of the app. I would prefer the lighting settings to be a physical button like on previous versions. Not a fan of the ai/radio button. I wish I could reprogram this to Google assistant or a Spotify playlist. I

It is a speaker that meets all expectations.
