THESE are the stakes you should buy!
After more than 20 years of gardening - dealing with in-ground and raised bed techniques using hardwood stakes, metal cages, bamboo, conduit string, and other contrivances, I have to say that these textured fiberglass rods are an excellent investment that will save you money in the long-run.These are the stakes you maybe thought you were buying from a big-box store that turned out to be a plastic coating over a weak aluminum tube. These are the *real deal* solid fiberglass rods. They are tough, rust-proof, rot-proof, bend-proof. These do not degrade, and unless you try *really* hard, they will never kink or break.I will warn you that fiberglass is sharp. I have a scar on my forehead from being hit with the sharp edge of a piece of fiberglass. It required a trip to the emergency room and several stitches. Even 30 years later, I can still see the scar. These stakes have a *sharp* cut on one end and you could pierce skin with it if you tried. Many people don't know this, but fiberglass burns. Do NOT use these near fire or even a lawn torchI do think that these are a bit overpriced for being thin fiberglass rods, but I don't know of *any* other source for sorts of stakes. The texturing is especially important for tying and clipping your plants and I've never seen *any* fiberglass rods for sale with this sort of texture. At $5.00 each these are a bit costly, but given that these should last forever with proper treatment, you should think of it as a one-time upfront investment. That is, if you buy enough, you only need to do it one time ever. That's how I'm thinking of it. I've got the 20 each of the 6' and 3' versions for my tomatoes and pepper plants. This is "value" is the real sense of that word. These are worth the price - worth every penny. You should not be disappointed.

Fantastic product - 1ft stakes are small but sturdy
I bought a pack of 50 of the 1ft stakes in the summer of 2022, primarily to use in pinning down soaker hoses in the garden. When I first opened them, they were much thinner than I expected, and I was very concerned that they would not hold up. I was pleasantly surprised. They made it through one summer with flying colors (well, actually - they're green). I think only one broke, when I carelessly tripped on it - HARD. I recall thinking, "If it took THAT much to snap it, that's pretty impressive."I'm running low and putting in an order for 50 more. These are the perfect size for pinning a soaker hose or similar in place. I use two, crossed over the hose in an "X" pattern and it lasted all season. I was previously using bamboo stakes, but I have to cut those down to size, they were uneven, and eventually disintegrate. These are MUCH better.I also purchased larger ones. They are just as good and sturdy, but I found that less noteworthy because they have more heft to them. I *do* far prefer these epoxy stakes to the plastic coated metal versions available at stores. Those coated ones bend and rust. These do not.A side note: The 1ft stakes I bought in 2022 were Made In Russia. Which is interesting. Wondering if the next order will be from the same supply chain.

So much sturdier than the vinyl coated hollow metal rods and never any rust.
They're really sturdy for the size, great for a rabbit fence. I cut them to desired length with a saw and sharpened one end on a small grander and they pound into even firm dirt with no problem. They shouldnever rust and stay looking good far longer than the vinyl covered hollow metal rods of similar sizes that lose the vinyl covering and rust before very long, especially with handling.

My second order of these stakes
Good, strong product. But the 5-foot stakes are (pack of 20) are $0.65/foot, smaller stakes cost less per foot, which doesn't make sense since fewer cuts are needed in long extruded rods. These are solid fiberglass with a string grid on the surface that is well-coated to add a bit more grip. These stakes are not very flexible, but that's OK with me.Don't waste your money on similar-looking stakes that are hollow thin metal tubes with a plastic coating.

Strong, gripping fiber poles
These have been great, they are not only strong they also hold the wire clips better. These were bought 3 years ago and are still going strong. I needed some additional poles for another fence and unfortunately, they were sold out early this year (2024) so I went with another type. Boy were they different, the other type bent, folded, and broke. But these hold up to pounding them into hard ground. I do recommend these they may be a slight bit more money but they are quality and will last you.

BEST STAKES I EVER USED
I bought the 5’ stakes. I attached them to the side of my 4’ x 8’ Dahlia raised beds to hold my Hortonova trellis in place at 12” and 36”. Worked great. I see tons of uses for these. Great product. Love the raised pattern and color. Made it easy to stretch the Hortonova and it stayed right where I wanted it. My Dahlias won’t fall over when it is windy. Thank You!

Using Every Year
I used this in my large veggie garden last year, and it was very durable. I did not have any break or bend, and they held some heavy stuff.

Performance after two years
I bought this item in three different sizes in 2020 -2021 and I initially loved them. However, one major issue with them and fiberglass in general. It deteriorates in the sun over time and I am in an area with triple digits and strong UV light. They are still in good condition overall but the crisscross threads started deteriorating by year two and if you go to pull or push them without gloves, you end up with quite a few fiberglass splinters in your hands/fingers.
