Do I need to buy separate hook/screw things to secure it to the ceiling?

Yes, you can buy some at a local hardware shop or search on Amazon

How far apart do the hooks need to hang

About shoulder width apart. Into studs if your putting into ceiling.

"Champagne" vs "Nude" color? The nude looks like a more muted pink in the product images...can anyone confirm if nude has pink undertones? Thanks

Champagne has some coral/peach tone to it while nude is a very soft mauve-ish neutral tone pink. I bought both colors and would say choose the color then ignore the first picture, the second and third picture is the accurate color for both color selections.
