Bought a pack of 3:- The first one died after couple of months of usage.- The second one sometimes work and sometimes doesn't. The problem is the loose connection at cover of battery. The design is such that after couple of battery replacements , the lid loosens up. The light becomes useless when that happens.- set of 3 'D' type batteries last for around 4 weeks in an area with moderate movement.- light is bright with new set of batteries but quickly fades out in about 10-14 days.- customer support is non-existent and don't bother to respond. Reached out to them over email.- Definitely not worth the high price.+ Motion sensor is good and sensitive while the item lasts.

I never expected such a nice little light for the money. I installed it outside on the side of my door. We don't want t a light on all the time because of too many bugs in the summer. The light is great. It comes on as soon as I open the door and I have enough time to trigger the second spot light a bit away from the door. It only stays on for 1 minute and that is just perfect for not attracting bugs. It comes on as soon as I get closer but if the other light is still on doesn't come on. Again, that is well timing because it makes the battery last longer.I probably will get another one.

We have an area at our office building, an upper deck with entryway, that has no outside light. We could get something wired in, but not very easily, given that it is a cinder block building and there isn't any wiring close to draw from, plus, it's the hassle of installation, and another light to forget to leave on or forget to turn off. So, this seemed ideal -- a motion activated porch light for the times we are accessing that door, after dark, which happens frequently for our later shift. I mounted this right in the upper corner of the rather wide wooden door sill (so I didn't have to deal with the cinder block), and it's a gem! Works GREAT!The outside security lighting we have does not reach that doorway, so, even though our back parking lot is fairly well lit, this light still pops on reliably whenever we are using that upstairs back door at night. The only issue we had was that, if the inside upstairs was well lit, then, when you opened the door from the inside, at night, this light did not kick on, because there was too much light coming through the windows of the door itself, and so the sensor did not sense enough darkness to know to turn the light on, when motion was sensed (the door opening, for example). We could maybe have gotten around that with trial and error of location, maybe, but I found that just leaving off the inside lamps nearest the door dimmed things down enough for the sensor to know that it is "night" and pop the light on when the door is opened from inside. So, problem solved, and it now also acts as a motion sensor warning, given that, if someone is at the back door, we see the light kick on and shine in through the back door window.So, a terrific product, does what it says, won't run down batteries because it only comes on as needed, is easily mounted and aimed wherever you want it to shine, and throws a BRIGHT and fairly wide spot of light. It is a "spot light" kind of light, so, good to keep in mind that it does not (and is not designed to) shine beyond where it is pointed really, but, if you are looking for a quick area light with no wiring issues, that is motion activated, this is a great light and I highly recommend it!***** UPDATE: December, 2013: Just wanted to say that, not only is this light still going strong, but it's still on the SAME ORIGINAL batteries from installing it, back in January of this year, and showing no signs of significant dimming, WOW!!! That will be a year of use, in a few weeks, on the same batteries. Light is still working GREAT!!! Needless to say, Mr. Beams ROCKS!!!

I decided to buy this product because I needed to replace a broken mains-powered outside light. I wasn't confident enough to tackle the wiring required to replace it with a mains powered light so I chose this battery powered unit instead.Installing the light was relatively simple but there was one minor issue. I found that the long screw that was supplied was difficult to screw using my ratchet screw driver - my house is made of stone which can be difficult to screw into so I usually need to use more "heavy duty" screws than those that are supplied. I simply replaced it with a more suitable screw that I had in my tool box that had a head that my screwdriver could grip better and the problem was solved. I have to do this quite regularly with products so this isn't really a major fault with this product.I am incredibly impressed with the light that this thing produces especially as it is battery and not mains powered. And also with the sensitivity of the sensor. I have installed it on the back of my house to light up my back garden. My drive is behind my garden and I have to walk through my garden to get to and from my car and garage. This unit produces pretty much the same amount of light as the mains powered unit did with the added benefit of being motion sensor controlled.I am so impressed that I am going to buy 2 more units, one to light up the path down the side of my house and one for outside my front door. So this gets a firm 5 stars from me.
