Simple and effective
This is by far one of the coolest projectors I’ve ever used. Very simple setup, works just about anywhere and with its auto color correcting you can use it on just about any color surface. Would highly recommend!

Highly Frustrating and Virtually Useless
Let me be clear! IF they fix the issues with this projector, it would be a pretty nice option! Colors and contrast are great! HOWEVER... it is perhaps the most frustrating tech product (or product of any sort) that I have tried to use! The autoscreen feature doesn't work. And often it continues to adjust while you are watching content. And I don't have time to manually adjust all of the settings each time it gets bumped or if I need to move it (and remember, this is a portable projector). Also, the UI is super buggy and SLOOOOW! And the remote is atrocious! Barely works! Shame on LG for shipping this projector out with this. They deserve the 1 star until they fix the issues! And I encourage everyone else to hold LG accountable too that has purchased this!

Frustrating product EXTREMELY SLOW
I wish I could rate higher as this is a very nice price point but I can't recommend. There have already been dead pixels popping up and now I need to return. The remote and UI is definitely the worst I've ever encountered. The LG software is truly terrible, as others mentioned extremely slow and laggy. I'm extremely disappointed in this product.

Good value for the price.
Works great most of the time. Sometimes when you start it up the sensor that auto adjusts the projector angle and focus acts up but is easily fixed by covering it briefly then it will correct the image.

Hardware Good, Software and remote bad
Such a good product ruined by its operating system. It’s blotted, slow and uses old technology for remote. I tried using roku stick. That worked well. But then I realized i am paying $1300 for this. I should not be hacking around to make this work. Their hardware and software departments need to talk to each other more.

best portable ultra short throw smart projector
i bought mine through lg.com and so far i found no issue. a lot of them complained about the auto focus but it works like magic for me. i don't think they clean the sensor. you can't expect the device to perform the best if it's in dirty condition. picture quality is top notch with 4K resolution and it comes with enough brightness and good sound quality. only downside is it's bit slow when going through menu but smart feature is huge plus so highly recommend!

Very Frustrating
Waste of time and that includes both the product and LG support. Could not get it to log into our Wi-Fi which is based on T-Mobile wireless. Also tried hotspot - no luck. Tried over 34 times. Plus the remote added to the frustration - very sluggish. This is an Alpha product at best.

Dissapointing LG!
Disappointing Performance for the Price I had high expectations for the LG CineBeam S PU615U 4K UHD Ultra Short Throw Smart Projector, but after using it, I’ve been pretty disappointed overall. First, the picture quality drops noticeably as the screen size increases. The farther the projector is placed from the wall, the dimmer the image becomes. Whites look more gray than white, which really hurts image quality—especially for a product marketed as premium. I also assumed projecting onto a wall would cause less eye strain than watching an LED TV, but I’ve actually experienced the opposite. Watching the projected image strains my eyes more, which was an unexpected and frustrating downside. The user interface is extremely laggy. Navigating menus and apps feels slow and outdated. It’s disappointing that LG didn’t upgrade this model with faster, more modern software—it feels like corners were cut. The remote control is another major letdown. Since the projector really needs a dark room to look decent, using a tiny, non-backlit remote makes no sense. It’s hard to see what you’re pressing. A larger, lighted remote should have been standard at this price point. Finally, the auto centering feature is finicky and unreliable. Sometimes the image shifts angles on its own for no clear reason, which is extremely annoying and defeats the purpose of having an automatic alignment feature. Overall, this projector has potential on paper, but the real-world experience doesn’t justify the cost. Between the dim image, laggy UI, poor remote design, and unreliable auto centering, I can’t recommend it unless these issues are addressed.
