Disapointed.
First off seller got it to me fast, so that part was good.Where it gets bad is it was NOT as described or work well. This was sold as "all chrome plated steel", but the one I received was a black paint finish that seems to scratch fairly easily. The next problem is keeping it in place. As others have mentioned it is very tricky to get to stay where you want it in the clamp bracket. I tried using bits of rubber between the metal clamping to grip a bit, but that didn't help. I may just jb-weld the mirror bracket in place.Bsd points aide I don't think its bad enough to just toss away. Large mirror is good for someone like me with bad eyesight, and other than the clamping setup the rest feels VERY solid. Minus one star for not getting the finish I ordered, and one star for that bad clamp design.

Old school look
Worked like a charm, took all of 5 mins to install ,an extra bit of safety on the road , adjustment was a snap , may order one for the right side , finish is nicely done , ( black ), doesn't get in the way , the price was right for what you get , it's heavy , not a toy type mirror , old school look is what i was looking for , so for me , spot on ,

It DOES reflect light...
I needed a mirror for my omafiets, and this looked retro enough to do the job. The stem is about 7" long and the mirror is a generous 4" but is not curved to get a wider field of view. The mirror is adjustable with a ball-and-socket joint, but you'll probably not need that due to the problems with this mirror.I should mention that this was not a prime shipment and I got the item very quickly from the seller. A point for BicycleSourceUS!So, here's what's wrong with the set up.First of all, this is NOT light. It weighs about a pound. The bolt/post is very beefy and is probably made for an e-bike. Not a deal breaker, for me, but just so you know.Second, the stem is not knurled where you connect it to the post. SO, no matter how much you torque the nut, the mirror swivels and ends up pointing at the ground. I tried clamping the stem in my vise, but the stem is remarkably beefy. You'd need to chuck this thing in a lathe and knurl it.Finally, when you DO have this clamped down, the stem wobbles in the post. The hole is about 1/16" too big and the cup that applies pressure to the stem won't apply that pressure to both sides of the stem, so the thing wobbles. I tried slightly notching the cup and that almost worked, but, as I said, the one side of the cup is in full contact while the other doesn't contact at all. A spring mechanism with knurling could make this set up work. Or a completely different set up altogether.I'm considering epoxying the stem into the post but I'm afraid of permanently affixing this to my bike! We'll see and I'll update my review if that works. Because, after all, it DOES reflect light. So, save up for a different mirror unless you want to re-engineer this one and have the means to do so.

Heavy Duty, yes...
I bought this mirror for my moped, and I wasn't exactly happy with it. The stem does not have an angle in it, so it was super hard to adjust to get a decent backwards view. With the vibration of a moped, you need something pretty hardy to stay in place, and I didn't find this one to fit the bill. It kept flopping over and giving me a view of my hand and the sky, so I got another mirror that has an angled stem and two-ended clamp.

Great looks, doesn't stay tight.
I bought this specifically for my motorized bike. It's a rigid frame (no suspension) so it vibrates alot, especially at 30 m.p.h. So maybe it's not a fair example of how this product should work, but my problem is that within a block at high speed, the mirror rotates around due to vibration, rendering it useless. It's basically due to a design flaw; a perfectly round shaft that is tightened only by a solf metal band that only makes contact to the shaft on two small points. It's hard to explain simply by the picture, but the point is maybe on a bicycle where you're not usually travelling at 30 M.P.H. under the power of a 48cc engine that vibrates like crazy, it would stay put, and it looks great. I love the vintage appeal of the round mirror housing; it simply does not work for my application.

Bad mounting method - worthless
After tightening it all the way (plastic spacers are touching) it still wiggles and moves around. The hole where the stem coming from the mirror to the mounting bracket just doesn't get tight enough to hold it. It can rotate within the hole (left-right) and the mounting screw can still rotate (forward-back) making the mirror move around a lot. I tried very hard to use BOTH the rubber pads, but it would not fit my handlebars with both. That part holds very tight, but the whole thing moves too much. Worthless piece of junk.

Wish the shaft was longer, but no complaints. ...
Wish the shaft was longer, but no complaints. It stayed put even off road. I really clamped it down metal to metal on my handlebars. Big mirror to give a wide view.

Very solid mirror
Not what I was looking for. Very nice mirror for anyone that can use this type of construction. My handlebars are too short to mount it and see behind myself. I can see to the sides, but needed a longer stem that goes out to the side so I can see behind.
