Fits a 98 ranger 2wd
I was very skeptical buying this. I saw people saying it fit a ranger and some saying it didn't. I have a: 98 Ford ranger XLT 2wd, 6ft bed with front spring suspension. These were a pain to install but I was able to do it with the factory bottle jack and some jack stands. I lifted the rear up by the diff. I placed a jaclstand with a pice of 2x4 on top under the frame on the side I am working on. I removed the tire. I slowly lowered the jacl. This allowed the rear to sag so I didn't have to depress the spring as much. My old shocks were shot so they came out easily. I mounted the top of the new shocks in place amd tightened it a few threads. I placed the bottle jack alittle forward of the bottom mount. The shock is still too long so I had to pry it so that it sat on top of the jack. I lifted the jack so it sat near where I needed it to be. I used a flat head to try and pry it into place and a Phillips to push through the bolt hole and then guide the mounting bolt through. Hopefully this quick writeup helps someone in the future. Car feels like it handles way better and it sits even. No more rear end sag. Will update later on longevity.

Hard to complain about them. 2006 Ford Ranger
Old Ford Ranger 2WD long bed was getting a bit droopy in the rear - these lifted it up and added some stability to it at the same time. Probably gained back about 1.5 - 2". Stiffed things up nicely. My only beef with them - the caps are plastic, hopefully they hold up but it sure seems like a bad corner to cut. I doubt the old truck will outlive these, but if I does so far I would probably still buy another pair just for the cost savings over other brands.

Easy to install
I installed these on my 2006 ford ranger. I honestly don't fot to measure the ride height before I swapped them out sonic don't know the exact amount but they definitely add so.e height back to the truck. Also the stiffened the rear end right up. Before when I got in the bed the truck would drop a couple of inches. Now it barely moves. I even loaded it with 12 4x4s and 12 2x4s the same day and the ride was so much better. I would recommend jacking the vehicle up and putting it on Jack stands on the frame rails so the rear end drops fully down. I did that and made installation super easy. I also sprained the bolts down with penetrating oil well in advance. As of right now I think it's a decent buy.

Great Quality Shocks!!!
Super easy to change. Added 2 inches of lift and it rides smooth! Glad I went this way instead of adding helper leafs. Highly Recommended!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊

Damn Straight!
The rear shocks for my 2001 Ford Ranger XLT came in today. And they are absolutely worth every dime. I mean I don't even think it took thirty minutes to install using a floor jack and a screwdriver. I didn't even jack the truck up. The already has a 4" lift kit but the shocks raised up a little bit more. Just took for test ride and she's tight!.. Don't hesitate just get'm!.

Perfect fit on my 1994 Ranger.
Truck doesn't sag at all, fully loaded, with a trailer for camping.
