RHS Gardening Through the Year: Month-by-month Planning Instructions and Inspiration

Great Christmas present for the grandparents. They loved it bought 2. High quality detailed book.

Saw this book on the site and thought for £7 I would get it for a started book. I will not need another book as this book is very informative each plant/shrub/bulb etc is laid out for which months it flowers or has colour ,all the information on the plant/flower is displayed with all the information that you will ever need or where to plant and how to look after each plant, along with beautiful pictures to help you decide which plant would look good together . Lots of information on what to do in your garden each month. All in all I would defiantly recommend this book to anyone. It would make a great gift as the book looks and each page feels far more expensive that the £7 it cost.

This is a lovely book. I have a big garden but have never got into a routine with keeping on top of it. This book is excellent - each monthly chapter starts with a bullet point list of jobs to do, followed by more in depth information afterwards. It mainly covers plant, soil and lawn management but there's also some tips for vegetables and containers. At the back is a pretty comprehensive plant glossary. I couldn't say how useful it would be to an expert because I'm not one but it'll be my go to for a long time to come, I'm sure. Excellent value for such a reference book.

Bought as a present and it appears really good and easy to follow info

My daughter, a prifessional gardener, loved it!

As soon as I read the introduction I knew I chose the right book for me, a novice at gardening who worries about doing things right. The book has sections for each month, also extra tips and tricks, how to make things at home, a plant directory and an index. It has wonderful photos and drawings and I cannot wait to get stuck. I have a feeling this book will be useful for many many many years to come for me and my children too.

A brilliant book for gardening advice, how to and when to with plant suggestions - very good as a Fair weather gardener this book has helped me to structure me wok in the garden.

Lots of information for what to do over the year in the garden. Good value for money and would recommend for anyone who enjoys gardening and wants to learn more

Bought this book for different purpose and it came out to be not of my best use

To identify different flowers

I love the detailed and in depth apprach of the authors , great timeline (have in mind I am at home in Austria, so in a diffenent climatezone), lovely scetches and pictures - informative as well as nice to look at, inspiering and encouraging ideas, good despriptions of species includign tips for cultivars, wide range - form sunny to shady gardens, spring to autumn and winterfeatures. I was well impressed with the good timeline and practicality of the book. love it - despite the smallish lettering of the texts.
