My wife has been using my old “cane”, which was actually a walking stick. It was light weight and easily adjustable. We are quite tall and getting a cane that works good for us has been very difficult. The old cane had finally given up and I had to do something. In my search I found this cane and it had the extra hand grip to make it easier to stand. It seemed to have everything I was looking for. I ordered it and it came the next day. It is the perfect cane for my wife. The extra handle lets her rise where there are no other means to help her stand. It has performed perfectly and the extra handle worked well and gave her the means to stand where she had trouble before. We are very pleased with this purchase and have no problem recommending it!!!

Ordered this to replace a heavy wooden cane and it hasn't disappointed. User is 5'10" and it adjusted nicely and easily to fit. I didn't really want the light, but it works fine after a little adjustment (was always on) as mentioned in another review. The assist handle for standing has been a good helper for a moderately mobile person (osteoarthritic hip and bad knees). It comes with 2 standard cane tips to replace one as it wears out. We wanted a cane that would stand on its own, so I only wish it came with a quad base. It was easy enough to find a 3/4" replacement quad base and that works fine with this cane, but perhaps quad bases are a little overrated as the balance of this cane with its assist handle makes it a little too easy to knock over. Perhaps we ordered a quad base that was too flexible. Either way, for the most part that has not been a negative for us. I also would have preferred a folding cane, but this just seemed to have better functionality than other options. I suppose you could break it apart into 2 sections if you needed to have it smaller, but it does fit well next to the seat in the car and the lightweight profile is way better than the wood cane. We have had no problems with any kind of collapsing or other safety issue. I suppose a heavier person might put quite a bit of strain on any cane, but this is working fine for a 180lb person. Update: One day after leaving this review and 2 months after getting the cane, the locking button came apart and the cane collapsed while being adjusted. Thankfully no one was putting weight on it or hurt. We did reassemble it, but are a little apprehensive that the button is only in place with tension and not a mechanical fixture inside the cane. Beware.

I bought this for my husband but he doesn’t need it anymore but luckily I kept it as I am using it now and it is comfortable compared to another one I have. I feel confident walking with it.

I think this cane would have been great, but my son put it together for me and he put the wrong ends together. They will not come apart, no matter what we try. We threw it away. Not the manufacturers fault. Not reading directions is the reason.
