I bought 6 of these & am buying more today. (These are much better than the light-up glue traps & I don't have to remember to buy & replace the sticky panels) There is no sound - but I can see that LOTS of bugs have been zapped. Not many will be at the bottom of the zapper, but there well be black spots all over the grid inside. I mostly just shake the zapper over a trashcan. Occasionally, I use the brush that came with the set to clean more thoroughly.

I’m very happy with my purchase. I was looking around for fly traps, and my mom would buy these fly traps with the sticky glue and the blue light but to me it seemed like a constant pain in the ass to have to switch those out every now and then and buy replacements and it’s just not something I wanted to deal with, and I didn’t know if anybody made electric fly traps for indoor because like I knew of those for outdoor use only because they make loud buzzing zapping noises, but I came across these and I saw good reviews and I wanted to try them out. First day I found Dead flies and gnats already stuck to them inside the house and in the garage and that one has the most. Now one thing is they work better in darker lighting so if you have the blinds open, it’s not gonna really attract them very well so at night time is really when it does the job but that’s the same for the sticky glue traps too. I think these are better because You don’t have to maintain them. They just sit there and the most you have to do is shake them off. Definitely worth the money.

Do not waste your money. Been using for 3 months, zero dead bugs. Gimmick to steal your money. The metal plate is not connected to electricity, it is screwed into the plastic with screws and is not electrified at all. Does Amazon not get their suppliers for scams like this????

Well, add me to the non-believer list that was soon impressed how well they worked. Our houseflies couldn't get through the plastic guard, so it didn't work so well for them. However, it did wonders on keeping the mosquitoes in check. They seem to work better overnight where it was the only source of light to attract them, but a dim nightlight is always welcome. As a retired engineer, I have to scratch my head as to why there's an ON/OFF switch on these. They draw such a tiny amount of current that leaving them on 24/7 makes the most sense (to me anyway).

Great night light, but not so great for mosquotes.

How did I ever live without these cute blue guys? They have kept our home insect free for over a year now, and they make wonderful night lights. Very easy to clean which we do once every couple of months, you can wipe with a paper towel or use the nozzle attachment of a vacuum. Highly recommended. We own two sets.

These don’t really appear to do much at first look, but they actually do a really good job killing and catching small flying insects without the use of sticky material and at a reasonably good price especially when bought in multiples. Very easy to use and functions as promised.
