can I double one on top of the other to cover a larger gap? If not, please rec a product that covers a 2" gap. Thanks!

No, that won’t work, I tried! Order this instead. It’s more expensive but super thick and sticky, comes with brads as well and closed over a 2” gap on my screen door. Yahhh …no more critters can get in! I’m ordering another set today to do both sides of the storm door. I attached link below: Upgrade] Huge Gap Door Draft Stopper, 3-2/5"W Widened Door Sweep Seal Gap Up to 1-4/5" for Interior & Exterior Doors - Keeping Draft, Noise, Dust and Unwanted Animals Out,3-2/5"W x 39"L,Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T8F55QQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_Q78SSA3S0RARHDQZM7BF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Can it come off easily without ruining door?

Yes, mine did. You may need to apply a blow dryer to heat it up some. But it comes off.

Will this damage a painted door or wood door upon removal?

Yes, it destroye the paint on my bedroom door don't do it!

Does this work better when placed inside or outside the door?

If it is an interior door like a bedroom door, you can put it on either side. If it is a main door leading to the outside, I recommend using it on the inside. You can put it on the outside but weather conditions will deteriorate the quality of the product over time.

La coloque en una puerta de acceso al interior de casa y el pegamento no es de mucha duración, pero en general es buena.

Very good product

Very nice product. Very strong adhesive. The rubber blade is reasonably soft as expected. Made a huge difference in my house. Dust and sand cannot pass through the opening at the bottom of the door. Highly recommended for dust proofing your home.
