Would buy it again.
This choker worked great for the first few times but then it broke at upper swage. Looking back I think the log was too big and it may have dug into the ground while skidding it. I contacted them about a return two months after I originally bought it and they issued the return immediately no questions asked. Very pleased with the company, in fact I went on to buy their 16" skidding tongs and their Timberjack. Both fantastic tools and highly recommended. I would buy it again if I was working with smaller logs (the skidding tings work better for me right now).

Total garbage and don't hold up to light use
The first cable broke on a moderate size log that was about 8 to 10 ft long. I could roll it by hand but I couldn't lift it. I was dragging it through my yard when it broke with a 450 polaris. The second one broke today on a log I could lift one end of. It also broke when I was dragging it through grass. My guess is that the cable is very weak and it stretches little bits at a time. It is probably a coincidence that they broke while dragging through my yard. These are a total waste of money. Go to the hardware store and buy a larger cable and put your own loops on the end. The one I made is still going strong.

broke it on the first log I tried to haul
got a fare bit over ambitious with the first log I tried to pull. a solid 700lbs pound log that laughed at my attempts to move it until it broke the wire. made a few cuts on the wire, added some wire clamps and haven't had a problem since. if / when, it fails on you, it doesn't take much time or energy to fix it back up and be back to work so its worth it in my book.

Speed and ease of use
I really like this product I bought a second one for a friend in Main. Over the last two winters I skidded enough fire wood by myself to feed my wood boiler to heat my house, water heater and garage which stays at a balmy 65deg. I was afraid of the cable fraying and running that into my hands but it hasn't even started to look worn yet. I woud also recomend the Woodchuck- Timberjack log jack sold here too. I work by myself and most all of the lumber I harvest are deadfall trees and tops laying on the ground and most of the time frozen to the ground.. This is a fantastick for lifting the but end of the tree tops and getting the chocker underneath the wood. After I skid the log in, I just lift it off of the ground with this and saw it up so my chain doesnt hit the dirt or ice. You wont bend this handle I am always looking for ways to speed this wood retrivel process so this year I plan on getting the Timber Tuff TMW-48 Log Choker Cable with Ring and Probe Stake. The attached Probe should help elimnate some of the lifting of the log I will be able to send the probe under the log and pull the choker through and slip the end over the ball of the ATV. Happy skidding!

False Advertising?
After promptly receiving my choker cable from Amazon I noted on the package it says max load is 1500lbs. The products description on Amazon and many others sites say max force is 2640lbs. It's a little disconcerting to see an almost 100% difference in load rating between the online description and the delivered product. It appears to be well built and seems like it could easily handle more than 2640lbs. After using it a few times I do like the ease and quickness with which you can hook and unhook logs and the fit on a 2" ball. The choker does not move on a log once you are pulling. I would have rated it a 5 if it were not for the load rating discrepancy. UPDATE: I contacted Timber Tuff to ask them about the load rating discrepancy. I was quickly connected to the right person who immediately investigated the issue. They stated that 2640lbs was the limit they tested the product to and that 1500lbs is what they recommend as the maximum safe load to be applied. I was thanked for asking and told they would be updating the products description to better reflect the load ratings.

A great product. If you own property this is a must
I bought one of these in 2016 and it pretty much stays in a toolbox on my ATV. I have no idea how much stuff I have pulled with this sling. But it gave up pulling a 10’ soaked cedar truck. Given that I never really clean it or oiled it, I am truly surprised that it lasted as long as it did. Needless to say buying another was a no brainer and the discount for a two pack was well worth it. Now I can sling to timbers at a time. As much as I will admit to wishing this was 3/8 wire, I think the small wire contributes to the tightness that is achieved when it is attached to a tree or bunch of branches.

Quality has diminished
I originally ordered this product in 2017 and it performed exceptionally well. However, after years of strenuous use it finally broke so I hit order again for a replacement. The new product is a smaller diameter cable and uses a fabric filler for the core of the strands. Needless to say, it broke the very first time I used it. Total waste of money and deceptive as to a reduction in quality.

I have blown 2 now, instantly frayed and gets bent then snaps so easily on the cable. Very light weight use and still snaps. If your looking to have your head chopped off definitely buy this cheaply made chocker. If you want to get the job completed snd not lose a limb, go get a chain!

Not recommended, the cable broke shortly after I started using it. I gave one star for the rings, I removed them from the broken cable and attached them to a chain, works great.

These choker cable are well made and very strong. The round rings held there shape after pulling some good size trees. Very impressed...

Does the job for now. Ring size make it easy and fast to hook on ball mount.

I love it. Of course, you got to be kind with it. But if you use it properly, it works great. Very good purchase.
