Work well and continue to do so. Some technical knowledge required.
I have concrete floors, these were laid in the 70's without any insulation so they are very cold. I needed to think of a cost effective solution to get some heat into them, otherwise they just suck any heat from the room. I purchased these and found them easy to fit and can run at a low wattage, I now have a living room with a warm floor! The added benefit is that the concrete slab and wood flooring retains the heat for a few hours after you turn it off, if I had insulated floors this heat would last even longer. In my setup, I have them under large rugs and on top of solid wood flooring. They are connected to an Alexa controlled mains socket through a fused plug. This gives me the option to have it on a timer or just turn on with an Alexa command. I believe the proper setup is to have them between insulation under any flooring but I did not want to list my flooring. The only down side is the amount of time it takes to initially warm the floor, this is due to the low wattage (150w per length. I have 2 lengths running side by side). It can take a couple of hours for the floor to feel really warm, the up side is that they cost little to run. I have mine on a self setup solar system so try and use that as much as possible. So, functionality wise, they are good. They have multiple sizes and it shouldn't be too much effort to work out your requirements. A bit of electrical knowledge is recommended to connect them to the mains safely and they must be fused and isolatable, I would also recommend following the manufacturers instructions for protecting them against damage as that could lead to electric shock hazard if cut or torn.
